Del Mar Powerhouse: Developmental Program

The purpose of the Club’s developmental program for 5, 6, and 7-yr old players is to teach and develop fundamental baseball skills using instruction, practice and scrimmage experience.  Players in this program will be grouped according to age and skill level.  There may also be limited opportunities for outside games and/or tournaments; these plans will be further developed by the managers and program coordinator.  Like all Powerhouse teams, the developmental program will have paid, non-parent managers and coaches who have a love for the game and are committed to developing youth baseball players to play at the next higher level.  The developmental program runs from September through February when recreational ball starts.  An extended program from March through May 2010 will be available including formation of a 7U team for limited tournament play.
