Reminder...There are NO U8 Soccer Games tomorrow, Saturday Oct 31st.

However....

The U8 soccer teams will meet at the East Union Presbyterian Church, 292 East Union Rd. It is the building behind the pre school and the church. It will start at 11:00 AM. You will be able to take pictures of the kids, please make sure the kids wear their soccer shirt, we will hand out the trophies and then we will all be able to have Pizza for lunch.

With the weather being as bad as it has been. The U6 "end of season party" place has been changed. The "end of season party" will be held at  East Union Presbyterian Church, 292 East Union Rd. You will be able to take pictures of the kids, make sure they wear their soccer shirts, we will hand out the trophies and then we will all be able to eat pizza. What :Watch Deer Lakes play Shady Side Academy

Where: Deer Lakes High School Stadium

When: Varsity starts at 5:30

Admission is free for any child wearing his/her youth soccer jersey. Adults will be charged regular admission price.

U10/U12 Boys Coaches: Bring your teams to compete in a shootout at halftime of the varsity game.

Deer Lakes Youth Soccer Annual Board Elections

October 18th 2009, 5:45-7:00

Seeking Nominations for the following positions:

President

Treasurer

Equipment Manager

Field Commissioner

Finance Coordinator (fund raising, concession, raffles)

According to the by-laws the position for President and Treasurer can only be held by a current board member. 

Registration for the 2009 u6/u8 fall soccer season is closed. Please do not contact any of the coaches or board members regarding this issue. NO EXCEPTIONS WILL BE MADE.

With the Spring 2009 soccer season starting shortly, we are asking that all parents refrain from coaching players during games; this is coach's job.  It becomes very confusing for players to hear their parents and coaches give instructions at the same time.  If any parent is interested in coaching please see one of the board members and they will be happy to assist with your request.  We do encourage you to cheer on your team during a game.  We are also asking that no one stand behind the goals during games; if you stand behind the goals, you will be asked to move back to the sidelines.

Also please be courteous to the referees at all times.  Do not yell at the referees or question any call that they have made.WE HAVE A ZERO TOLERANCE POLICY FOR ANYONE THAT IS CREATING A PROBLEM FOR THE REFEREES, PARENTS OR PLAYERS AND YOU WILL BE ASKED TO LEAVE THE FIELDS IF IT BECOMES A PROBLEM. These young men and women do a great job for Deer Lakes Youth Soccer and we depend on their services every week.  I believe no one would appreciate it if someone was yelling at their son or daughter who is trying to do their job. So remember to thank the referees at the end of a game and let them know what a great job they have done.  If you have an issue with any referee, please see your coach, age group commissioner, or any board member.
