Dixie Boys/Majors Baseball Umpires: Duties of State UIC
Duties of SUIC
The duties of the State Umpire-In-Chief shall be those as outlined in the official guidelines of Dixie Boys/Majors Baseball Inc. with the additional duties as follows:
The State Umpire-In-Chief shall keep a registry of all umpires, and prior to the first tournament s/he shall send copies of this registry to the National Umpire-In-Chief. The State Directors and each District Director. This registry shall be a source of umpires for league officials and tournament directors, and shall be kelp for three consecutive years for tournament qualification purposes.
The State Umpire-In-Chief shall keep records of all District and League Umpire-In-Chiefs as well as any clinicians that may have been qualified, and shall send a copy of these records to the National Umpire-In-Chief.
The State Umpire-In-Chief shall keep records of all moneys received and disbursed and shall give an annual report at the State Meeting and shall send a copy of this report to the National Umpire-In-Chief.
The State Umpire-In-Chief shall hold an annual clinic at the Spring State Meeting for all District and League Umpire-In-Chief, as well as any other clinician that may want to qualify.
The State Umpire-In-Chief shall attend all tournaments as possible for the purpose of gathering information that will help in deciding qualifications for National Tournaments.
The State Umpire-In-Chief shall be elected by the State Board of Directors. The election shall be held at the same time as the election of the State Directors and Assistant State Director. The tenure of office shall correspond with the other State Officers.
The State Umpire-In-Chief shall hold no other office in the organization from District level and above. S/he shall hold no office in any other youth baseball organization that would be considered in competition with the Dixie Boys/Majors Baseball program.
The State Umpire-In-Chief, by virtue of this office held shall have a seat on the State Board of Directors with voice and vote.
