It's not always the Manager who wins the most trophies who does the best job. The Manager who works long and hard to develop youngsters with little talent, and who teaches lessons of life that carry into adulthood....although he has few trophies to show, he ultimately is the most successful.....Yesterdays trophies soon fade away, but character lasts a lifetime.(Ron Hudson)

#1 The first District 9 Meeting of the new year will be on February the 24th. The location will be at the district 5 building at Leland Dixie boys fields on Village rd 1492 Leland NC 28451 starting at 2pm. I would like for as many coaches and representatives of each league to attend. We will go over RULES for the year IF YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS THIS IS WHEN YOU NEED TO GET THEM ANSWERED. Meeting will start at 2pm.
#2 June 27th District tournament starts in Tabor City. Credentials meeting is the 20th of June at 6:30pm at the District 5 building 1492 village rd Leland NC 28451. All documentation must be signed, notarized, and ready to be checked by June 13th to allow them to be checked prior to the credentials meeting. This will allow any missing documentation easily corrected. Allowing the credential process to proceed more smoothly. Documentation should be dropped off between the hours of 6:30pm -7:30pm at the District 5 building next to the Dixie boys field in Leland. State tournament starts July 12th. It is the policy of DIXIE SOFTBALL to promote the development of strong character, a right attitude and a sense of responsibilty and citizenship in youngsters, using the game of softball as a vehicle. It is the purpose of DIXIE SOFTBALL to achieve this goal through fair play, good sportsmanship and congenial fellowship, with adult leaders providing the example. It is strictly against the policy of DIXIE SOFTBALL for any person, either as a participant or a spectator, to engage in arguments, to use abusive language, to harass umpires, or to exhibit any behavior not in concert with the general intention of this policy statement. team coaches are required to abide by this policy statement, and all parents and other adults are strongly encouraged to do so.
