District 49: My Default Season Divisions

T-Ball
In T-Ball, young children are introduced to baseball. The youngsters learn, develop, and practice fundamental baseball skills. This is a non-competitive division where everyone bats and plays every inning.

Minor B
In this division players will continue to develop their skills and learn the rules of baseball. Emphasis is placed on hitting, base running, fielding/throwing and teamwork. During this period our young children will begin developing their pitching too.

Minors
In Minors, players are evaluated for the purpose of drafting them onto their teams by the coaches. Pitching to and by the players has become part of the game. Umpires in this division will allow a fairly liberal strike zone. The object is to get the ball hit into play as often as possible. This is the first age group where an All-Star team can continue with tournment play after the regular season ends.
