Congratulations to all of the teams for some great baseball during the regular Fall season. We are ready to head into the playoffs, starting on Wednesday evening. Assuming no weather interruptions, we will play our regular schedule EXCEPT no games on Monday, October 27 (due to Dunwoody varsity football practice on the baseball field due to a concurrent 9th grade football game on the football field) and no games on Election Day, Tuesday, November 4. We are planning on the Championship game on Wednesday, November 5.
Teams have been seeded 1-12 after the regular season. Pool “A” is seeds 1, 4, 5 and 8; Pool “B” is seeds 2, 3, 6 and 7; Pool “C” is seeds 9, 10, 11, 12. The team with the best record in the playoffs in Pool A will play the team with the best record in the playoffs in Pool B for the championship. If two teams are tied in the pool, the representative will be determined by head-to-head, then by fewest runs allowed.
The home team will be the higher-seeded team except for the Championship which will be determined by coin toss. Thanks to everyone for their cooperation with scheduling shifts and for some great, competitive Fall baseball!
