The Georgia Dugout Preview names Dunwoody as 2012's 3rd best in AAAA. 

• "Wildcats have senior-led team"
• "Season Outlook: After advancing to the state quarterfinals last season, the Wildcats should make a run at the playoffs again this season.  A total of 11 returners are back, including leading hitters Jared Martin (.347 avg, 23 RBIs) and Stelen Stulberger (.414 avg, 17 2B).  Pitcher Logan Elliot returns after a strong sophomore season."

Also, Jared Martin is named First Team Class AAAA Preseason All State:

• "Solid defender and hitter"
• Also named as "Player to Watch in Region 6-AAAA"

* February 8, 2012 - - Raiders acquire two-sport standout. The Tennesseean has an article about Chris Hale committing to Middle Tennessee.  Chris will be playing football and also plans to walk on to the baseball team.

* February 6, 2012 - - Chris Hale Commits to playing at MTSU.  Covered in the Dunwoody Patch, will play baseball in addition to football.

* February 1, 2012 - - And within the same issue of the North DeKalb Neighbor, Jared Martin is named the DeKalb Male Athlete of the Week. 

* February 1, 2012 - - Coverage of Media Day for DeKalb County Baseball which took place on Jan 26th appears in the North DeKalb Neighbor.  Jerric Johnson is in the story's photo and Coach English is quoted: “Marist is one of our rivals,” English said. “It is a good rivalry. A lot of our kids know each other. But if you beat Marist, that means something.”  “The kids are excited about this season,” English said. “We are in that region with Marist and that is always a challenge. But this region definitely prepares you for the playoffs.”

* November, 2011 - - Ryan Gaines is named to the Georgia Elite 80 for class of 2013 - Baseball Scoutz.com

* August 8, 2011 - - The Dustin Pedroia "Muddy Chicken Award" is given to Chris Hale from Game #12: Washington Nationals vs. Chicago White Sox.

The Alumni game was held on Sat, Dec 30, 2011.  Most notable observation from the game is that even Dunwoody Alumni remember how to "hit the long ball!"
