The pizza party this WEDNESDAY, MARCH 10 at 6:00pm is for the 9 and under (pool balcony practice area) wrestlers only. If you have not replied yet, please shoot an email to info@dgcougars.com with the subjuct line to include number attending(including wrestler) and wrestler's name. Parents and siblings are welcome, the cost is $5 per family. All participants will receive a trophy. Please meet in the upstairs main wrestling room. Hope to see you there.
The 10-14 year old room will have a party on Tuesday, March 23rd. More info will be sent out next week.

Tournaments FAQ:
- There is no requirement/obligation for anyone to wrestle in any or all weekend tournaments.
- If wrestlers do want to participate, there is no minimum or maximum number they need to attend - this applies to both club and instructional programs.
- The instructional wrestlers (paid $105) pay an additional fee for each tournament that they participate in (DG Cougar Rookie Round-up is included in the $105).
- The club wrestlers (paid $225) have all tournament fees included.
- Rookie tournaments are limited to only first and second year wrestlers.
- The will be Quads/Mini-meets where 3-4 clubs meet to wrestle. These generally last 2-3 hours. Kids are paired and grouped together and wrestle with a running clock and coaches officiate. There are no awards or fees.

Downers Grove Cougar Wrestling is an organization dedicated to the teaching and promoting of youth wrestling for kids 7 years old through 8th grade. We are affiliated with the Illinois Kids Wrestling Federation and compete in meets and tournaments geared to both the young, inexperienced wrestlers and the most seasoned competitors.
Alumni include multiple IKWF State Champions and place winners, DG South & North Varsity wrestlers; and collegiate wrestlers at University of Michigan, Ohio University and US Marines Corps.
Registration includes: IKWF Card, T-shirt, year-end inter-squad, organized competition and trophy.
Practices held at Downers Grove South High School Wrestling Rooms.
Cougars Wrestling is split into two wrestling rooms (groups):
The Instructional Program ($105 Registration fee) for the casual/beginner teaches the basics of wrestling & casual competition. Emphasis is on the youths 10 & under as well as older rookies. Our IKWF Rookie Tournament is Sunday Dec 13 & Inter-squad meet in February 3, 2010. Practices are Tuesday and Thursday 6:30-8:00 p.m. November 9 to February 3.
The Varsity Club Program wrestles competitively in sanctioned IKWF Tournaments.Generally are held on Sundays (7am – 2 pm). First Tournament is Dec. 6. Club Registration fee of $215 includes all IKWF tournament fees and IKWF State Series.
Wrestling singlet, shoes and headgear must be provided by participant.
Practices are Monday, Tuesday and Thursday 6:30-8:00 p.m. November 9 to March 6 (IKWF Sectional Meet)For latest sign up information visit our website
