Thursday, July 30 U14 Year in Review The U14 D'Feeter team had a great year and every girl on the team contributed to the success of the Fall 08/Spring 09 season. The girls finished off the year playing some good soccer and had a great run during State Cup before losing in the Finals to a very good Sting team. By the luck of the draw and our finish in Premier League the D'Feeters advanced to the Southern Regionals in our first year of eligibility. The girls played well in bracket play and were able to knockoff Brentwood Premier in the quarterfinals before falling to Tulsa Hurricanes in the semis. Better luck next year ladies. Wednesday, November 5 Mid Year Recap I guess it's time for a quick mid year recap for D'Feeters 95. Shea and the team have been working very hard since July and it shows in the level of play that the girls are bringing to most of their games. The team finished in 2nd place in Division 1 of a very competitive Lake Highlands Girls Classic League with a record of 6 wins 1 loss & 1 tie and will look forward to improving upon that record in the Spring. Premier League play ended with the team in 2nd place while recording 4 wins 1 loss & 4 ties which will leave the girls no lower than 3rd place once the remaining teams play their final games. Not bad at all ladies and I'm pulling for a final 2nd place slot in Premier but we can't finish lower than 3rd regardless of final results. Through the course of the Fall Leagues the team has scored 24 goals. Ashley & Erin lead the way with 7 goals a piece followed by Caitlin with 3 and Sidney & Stephanie each put 2 in the net and Bria, Mykel & Paige each scored a goal to account for the 24 goals scored to date. Miranda only allowed Sting (3), HFC (2) & Revolution (1) to get the ball by her while shutting out 6 teams in LHGCL and 7 teams in Premier League. Some fantastic saves from her were necessary to insure the shutouts she has garnered so far this year. Way to go ladies!!! Wednesday, November 5 D'Feeters 95 vs. Lonestars Red Final game of Premier League & Fall Season had the team going up against Lonestars Red from Austin. The first half ended with both teams working hard to find the net but went into halftime with the score knotted at 0-0. The girls picked it up in the second half on both sides of the ball, playing strong defense and finally Erin broke our 2 game scoring drought by beating a couple of the Lonestar players and finding the net to give Feet a 1-0 lead. The girls continued to play strong defense and then Paige found Stephanie making a strong run and threaded a beautiful pass through the Lonestar defense that Stephanie finished with a shot that gave the team a 2-0 lead that they held until the final whistle. Always nice to finish the season on a winning note ladies, well done. Premier League ends with a record of 4 wins 1 loss and 4 ties for a total of 16 points. We'll have to wait until later this month for the final standings as the teams from Austin must still play the teams from Oklahoma but the worst we can finish will be third depending upon what happens in the matches yet to be played. I'll update our finish when appropriate. Monday, November 3 D'Feeters 95 vs. AU Capitals Wow, Solar Red game redux! The girls hit the pitch on Saturday against the AU Capitals in one of the final two games left in Premier League and hoping to take away 3 points with a win. The team had to settle for 1 point after the match ended in a 0-0 tie. Once again the girls presented themselves with plenty of opportunities to put one in the net but just were not able to convert any of their shots into goals. So goes the game of soccer, you can play a good game but that doesnt always result in a win. Good try ladies and better luck next time. This game gives the team a record of 3 wins 1 loss and 4 ties in Premier League going into the final game with Lonestars Red on Sunday. Saturday, October 25 D'Feeters 95 vs Solar Red The girls finish up the LHGCL Fall season with a 0-0 tie against fellow Premier League team, Solar Red. Fall season record of 6 wins 1 loss & 1 tie gives the girls a second place finish in local league play. The tie today gives us a record of 3 wins 1 loss & 3 ties in Premier League with 2 games remaining next week against the Austin teams, Lonestars Red and AU Capitals. Today was just one of those games in which the girls had opportunities to score but just were unable to find the back of the net. Hopefully we will bounce back next weekend and close out the Fall with a couple of wins. Time to put this one behind us and move on. GO FEET!!! Friday, October 24 D'Feeters '95 vs Fort Worth FC Last weekend the D'Feeters took the pitch against FWFC following their first loss of the Fall season and FWFC felt the wrath. The team regrouped and were able to hang 6 goals on FWFC while the defense held firm and delivered another shut out in route to a 6-0 victory to leave the team with a record of 6 wins 1 loss going into the final game of the LHGCL Fall season. Erin led the goal scorers with 2 goals, one being a beautiful bending shot from midfield that found the upper 90 of the far post. Ashley, Bria, Paige and Sidney each found the back of the net to bring the total to 6 goals. Great job ladies and let's see more of the same this weekend when we take on fellow Premier League team Solar Red. The girls will finish off the LHGCL league with the match against Solar Red, which also counts in Premier. A victory this weekend will put the team in 2nd place in Premier and most likely the same slot in LHGCL. With 1 game left in local league play and 3 games left in Premier it is time for the girls to step up and close the show with intensity and pride. Go FEET!!! Thursday, October 23 D'Feeters 95 vs Sting (fka Royal) Texans on Saturday and Sting on Sunday, that would be a daunting challenge to just about any team playing U14 soccer. Both games counted in LHGCL & Premier. Sunday just wasn't D'Feeters day and though Sting is a very good team, Feet looked flat which was a surprise since the team hasn't ever had any trouble getting up for a Sting match until today. Sting took care of business and won most of the 50/50 balls and certainly controlled the ball in the air and that really had the girls playing on the defensive side of the ball most of the match. Sting took care of opportunities that presented themselves and were able to run up a 3-0 lead going into the last 15 minutes of the game before Ashley stepped up and was able to beat a couple of the Sting girls and get off a shot that found side netting and saving us from laying an egg. To little to late comes to mind and the final score of 3-1 gave the girls their first loss in both leagues. Thursday, October 23 D'Feeters 95 vs Texans Red Dallas Always a great match between these two teams and the game played on Oct. 11th wasn't any different. Both sides played well and knew the game counted in both Premier League & LHGCL so both D'Feeters and Texans were bringing it every chance they could. Ashley was able to launch a shot from outside the box that just missed the crossbar and found the back of the net which was the only goal scored in the game giving us a hard fought victory over the Texans 1-0. Way to go girls!!! Tuesday, October 7 D'Feeters vs Texans Red North Ooops, dropped the ball again on getting game information posted. The game with Texans Red North wasn't the girls best match of the league season BUT we did take away a 1-0 victory. We definitely had some trouble finding the back of the net in this game but Stephanie was able to convert a ball sent through the box into a solid left footed shot into the back of the net to seal our victory. The team has opened the LHGCL with our best record to date going 4-0-0 while scoring 9 goals and giving up just 1. Good defensive play and a solid keeper will keep you in just about every game. Our games this weekend against Sting & Dallas Texans Red will count in both LHGCL & Premier League so needless to say this weekend will be important and the team coming out of the weekend with 2 victories will pick up much needed points in both leagues. Shea and the girls have been working hard preparing for the games and if any team can knock off both Sting & Texans in the same weekend it is the D'Feeters! Good luck this weekend ladies and play hard on both sides of the ball. GO FEET!!! Monday, September 8 D'Feeters '95 vs Solar Sunday morning the team showed up for an early 8:15 a.m. game with Solar, a team coming off two wins in league and with one of those wins over the Texans. Solar came into the match wanting to open the league season without a blemish on their records but so did the D'Feeters. The girls played some very good soccer in the first half and controlled much of the possession but were not able to find the back of the net in the first half and the match up at halftime was 0-0. Both squads came out in the second half playing like they knew the game was still there for which ever team wanted it more. D'Feeters scored first on a corner kick that after deflecting off another player, Caitlin was able to head the ball into the back of the net and give the team a lead at 1-0. Solar never backed down and continued to press for a goal of their own to tie the match. Good defense and a couple of great saves by Miranda kept the Solar team at bay until Ashley was able to win a ball from a defender and break behind the Solar defense forcing the Solar keeper to go 1 on 1 with her and resulting in the insurance goal the team needed to go up 2-0. The match ended up going into the books as a 2-0 win over Solar and gives the team a record of 3 wins 0 ties 0 losses in LHGCL. Great start to the season ladies! Next up in league play will be Texans Red North this coming Saturday. See 'ya there. Saturday, September 6 D'Feeters '95 vs Sting West The team played very well this morning. Erin got the game going with a very nice goal from the midfield that probably had the Sting W keeper wishing she were just a little bit taller. In the second half Paige found Ashley and placed a nice pass that Ashley was able to convert into a goal and we were up 2-0. Later in the match Brook took a strike at the ball that may have gone into the net anyway but Mykel didnt leave anything to chance and redirected the ball past the keeper and into the net giving the girls a 3-0 victory in the second game of LHGCL. Great start so far ladies, just remember every team that you face wants to beat you and whether or not they do rests squarely on your shoulders. Sunday morning you face Solar and remember they have won their first two games also and will be looking for their third win of the season just as we will. The team who wants it most will be 3-0 to start the year. Who is it gonna be ladies??? Friday, September 5 LHGCL I neglected to mention that the goal scored in our Premier League game with TSC was scored after Brook crossed the ball and Bria was able to get off a shot that deflected into the path of Erin who took the opportunity to put it in the back of the net. Way to work ladies! Well, last night we kicked off local league play with a match between D'Feeters and Revolution. The girls came to play and we were able to start the season with a 3-1 victory over a tough side in Revolution. Both Erin and Ashley hit some nice shots from outside the box that found the back of the net and Sidney finished a nice shot over the on rushing keeper from Revolution. Way to focus Sidney. A win is a great way to start league play ladies. Take it one game at a time and play your best each time you take the field and the rest will take care of itself. Next up on Saturday is Sting West and then Sunday we have Solar. Rest up and lets bring it this weekend! Wednesday, September 3 Region III Premier League Premier League kicked off for the team with a road trip to Tulsa where the girls faced the OK State Cup Champion, HFC-Rein and Finalist, TSC White. The girls took the pitch against TSC on Saturday and were able to take away a 1-0 victory to start Premier League play. Great job ladies. Sunday the team lined up against the OK State Cup Champs HFC and faced a strong, fast team that had every intention of knocking off the D'Feeters. HFC attacked from the get go and gave Miranda many opportunities to exhibit her skills defending our goal. HFC was able to get 2 past her but had some great saves which showcased her skills in goal and saved the team from what could have been a thumpin'. Caitlin kept the team in the game by hitting 2 free kicks from distance that were highlight quality and we were able to hold off the HFC offensive and take a 2-2 tie in our second match of Premier play. Back on the road again the following weekend to meet the South Texas representitives in Houston where the girls faced the STX State Cup Champs, Challenge and finalist, Albion Hurricanes. First up early Saturday morning the girls took the pitch against Albion and after Ashley & Erin hit the back of the net with some great shots the girls came away with a 2-0 victory over a tough Albion team. Sunday morning the girls faced Challenge, a tough opponent we have faced many times since U10 and as always the match up was a battle. D'Feeters opened the game attacking and created many opportunites but weren't able to find the net and the longer we left Challenge in the game the stronger they became and the girls had to fight hard until the final whistle to hold off the team from Houston and enable us to come away with a 0-0 tie. Two weeks into Premier and the record for D'Feeters stands at 2 wins 0 losses and 2 ties. Finally off the road for awhile and the team prepares to kick off the LHGCL season with a match against Revolution on Sept. 4th and then will take the pitch on the 6th and face Sting West. Good Luck this week ladies!
Saturday, August 16 Surf Cup Update The team had a great time at Surf Cup this year and came back a better team from the experience in San Diego. The girls faced some excellent competition in FC Crush Academy, Arsenal & SoCal Blues, and played well in what was the first tournament since signing for the U14 D'Feeters. The quality of play improved with each game. First game on Saturday morning was against a team from Washington, FC Crush Academy. The girls didnt play badly but found themselves on the short end of a 2-0 game to start the tournament. The FC Crush team was quick & athletic and certainly deserved the goals they were able to score but the game was much closer than the scoreboard would indicate. We look forward to matching up with this team again sometime in the future and hopefully we'll finish a little better on the opportunities the girls create. Next up for D'Feeters was Arsenal, a very good team we had faced before back in the U12 days. The match with Arsenal was as tough as expected and the girls had to bounce back after Arsenal scored the initial goal of the game. The girls continued to attack a very tenacious Arsenal defense when Ashley sent a nice through ball to Sidney and though two defenders were on each shoulder, she was able to get off a shot that deflected into the path of Brook, who following the play was able to punch one in and give the girls a 1-1 result. Great job ladies. Next up for the girls would be the tournament top seed and #1 ranked team in the nation, SoCal Blues. The odds of advancement after a tie/loss were slim to none so the girls were more than likely just playing for pride by the time they got to the Blues. The girls hit the pitch with an intensity and determination that exemplifies D'Feeters '95 and Blues were on their heels from the opening whistle. The girls never let up and were disrupting the Blues attacks and probing for a weakness in the Blues defense when finally Ashley penetrated deep into Blues territory and then found a streaking Stephanie and laid off a ball that Steph ripped by the Blues keeper giving the D'Feeters a hard fought 1-0 victory over the #1 team in the nation. Keep up the hard work ladies and set your goals high! Sunday, July 13 Surf Cup 2008 The team just finished up 2 a days in preparation for the new year and our upcoming venture West to participate in the prestigious Surf Cup Tournament held in San Diego, CA. Surf Cup will be the first tournament of the U14 D'Feeters 2008-2009 season and the girls look ready to rock! The team will face the best of the West at Surf Cup and we're looking forward to some great games. Good Luck ladies, bring home the hardware!!! Monday, June 30 U13 Year The U13 D'Feeters team ended the year in great form. Spring league ended with our best record in league play since going select with a 7 wins & 1 loss record. The 14 girls who contributed to the sucess of the 2007-2008 D'Feeters 95 year should be very proud of their accomplishments and without their hard work and dedication none of this would have been possible. The Championship run by the girls during the Las Vegas Showcase will always be a great memory. Then watching as the team jumped right back into action during the Spring Classic and advance out of bracket to meet/D'Feet Sting Royal after double OT and Pk's will always remain a great memory of the U13 team and their heart and never give up attitude. Thanks for a great year girls!
Saturday, April 5 Spring Season 08 Update My how time flies when you're having fun! Well, where to begin? The U13 year has been quite a roller coaster ride for the team. The Fall season ended with a coaching change and a unimpressive record of 1 win 4 losses and 3 ties in league play resulting in a total of 6 points towards the race for LHGCL Grand Champion. Talk around the league leaned towards an opinion that D'Feeters '95 had hit its peak at U12 and was a team on the slide. Apparently those naysayers didn't take into account the pride and heart that exists amongst the players who make up this team. The girls turned it up a notch and under the direction of Shea's coaching have turned things around. Though down to 14 rostered players at the end of the Fall season the girls battled back from injuries and illnesses that often saw the team taking the pitch knowing each player would have to dig deep and go the distance. The girls never backed down and as we prepare to play our last game of the Spring league season the team has 6 wins and 1 loss and sits at 2nd place. In the race for Grand Champion points we are sitting in 3rd place. Not too shabby for a team that folks were saying was on the downslide huh? The girls will take the field today with an opportunity to finish the Spring season with our best record since going select. In March the team attended the Las Vegas College Showcase with 13 players and defeated other 07 State Cup Champs from Utah, Colorado and Oregon in bracket play. D'Feeters met Eclipse Black from STX in the semi final and took it to Eclipse 4-0. The Final found D'Feeters facing TSC Challenge whom had beaten us a couple of times this year during "friendlies" so we owed them one. The girls took the Championship with a decisive victory 3-1 over the girls from STX. Just about the time we all got home from Vegas it was time to hit the pitch again at the Spring Classic tournament. More to come... Tuesday, October 2 Mid Fall Season Update We have crossed mid season and sit with a 1-3-1 record in 6th place in D1. Not exactly where we wanted to be at this point but with 3 games left in the season against Solar/Texans & Solar White we are looking to turn things around and finish the season on a winning note. We also welcome Shea Wilder, our new coach, who comes on board during a difficult time for the team but someone who is also up to the challenge before us. Best of luck to the girls and Shea moving forward and let's show Solar on Saturday what it is really like to tangle with the D'Feeters!!! Wednesday, August 29 LHGCL Fall 07 Fall 07 season began with a 1-0 loss to Solar Red. Not exactly how the girls were hoping to open the new season but they will bounce back and are looking forward to another exciting season of D1 soccer. ASG is up next for league play but Plano Labor Day tournament takes place this weekend and the level of competition is very high. This would be the perfect time for the bounce back wouldnt it? Good Luck ladies and bring home the hardware! Go Feet!!! Wednesday, August 15 U12 Year in Review Quite some time has passed since we updated this section of the web site so let's try to bring it up to speed. The girls U12 year ended on a high note as D'Feeters 95 won State Cup 2007. The girls hung tough and beat Texans Red in the Semi's and met Sting Royal in the Championship match. After playing regulation time and two overtime periods the score remained 1-1. The girls showed incredible poise and confidence as they went through 9 players before taking the title on PK's. National Soccer Ranking had the U12 team finish at 3rd in the nation. A great ending for a great group of girls on the U12 team. As we start the U13 year we send best wishes to the girls from last year that have gone on to new opportunities and look forward to seeing you again on the pitch. Ten players returned from last years State Cup Champs and we welcome Abigail, Emily, Emory, Cayla & Mykel as the newest members of the D'Feeters 95 team. We also start the U13 campaign with a new coach, Joel, and look forward to a successful and exciting year for the team. LHGCL starts up at the end of August and we will be gunning for the Plano Labor Day title the first weekend of September. More to follow... Wednesday, March 21 D'Feeters Return to Celtic Cup 2007 started with a return to California and the prestigious Celtic Cup Tournament held in San Bernadino, CA. In the weeks leading up to our trip, California experienced some of the coldest temperatures on record with reports of game cancellations due to snow on the field! D'Feeters '95 brought warmer temperatures with them in their quest to capture the Celtic Cup! D'Feeters '95 shut out Crown City United, Southwest SC, and SD Surf White. Although D'Feeters '95 became the first NTX team to ever make it out of bracket play in this prestigous tournament, their quest was denied by National Soccer Rankings Top U12G SoCal Blues in a hard fought game. D'Feeters may have lost to SoCal 3-1, but their hopes for the year ahead and years to come are forever strong! Way to Go D'Feeters '95! Thursday, September 14 Feet 95 off to a Great start to 2006 campaign!!! Feet 95 won their opener against ASG Gold 2-0 followed by a close win over Sting White 1-0.. Next up, SOLAR which looks to be another tight one.. Sunday, August 13 Feet 95 - Riverwalk National Cup Champions!! Sunday, August 13 Feet 95 - Puma Cup Champions California Celtic Cup 2006 The team ventured West for the Celtic Cup in January and played some great games against Southern California teams. D'Feeters '95 took away victories in 3 of the 4 games that they played, beating NC United, FC Barcelona and NHB. The only loss was suffered at the feet of Matrix 1-0, a game in which our girls out shot the opposing team 8-2 but one of their shots found the net and all 8 of ours missed. Such is the game of soccer, sometimes the dominant team doesn't take away the victory. We will get 'em next time! The girls had a great time and represented NTX soccer very well. SoCal will see more of the D'Feeters and next time we are going to bring home the hardware! Special thanks to our guest player Maddy Crabtree who was gracious enough to fill in as we went to Celtic Cup 2 players short due to conflicting previously planned engagements. All of our girls gave it their best effort and gave us parents some great games to enjoy. Go Feet!!
Las Vegas Turkey Shoot 2005 D'Feeters '95 traveled to Las Vegas,NV. after Thanksgiving to participate in the Las Vegas Turkey Shoot Tournament. The girls played some great soccer against teams from Nevada and California. The team won their bracket and advanced to the semi-finals where they battled Arsenal FC,Alta Loma, Ca.team,to a 0-0 tie through the end of regulation play before losing on PK's 4-2 to the eventual Champions. We will see you again Arsenal and we OWE you one! Off the pitch the girls had a great time checking out the sites in Las Vegas from the comfort of a Hummer limousine, courtesy of a dedicated D'Feeter Dad! Thanks to all the players and parents for a great weekend of soccer. Go Feet!

Losing only to the league champion and missing a second place finish by 1 point. Congratulations Ladies!
