As a founding member of Mid-States High School Hockey, we take pride in our long tradition of hockey excellence in this, our 39th season. Over this span De Smet has won 13 state championships and have finished in the final four 27 times. We strive to provide high school players a challenging hockey experience, with the opportunity to develop to their fullest potential.
De Smet Hockey entered a new era last season with varsity head coach and Director of Hockey Operations, John Murray, and his assistant Arne Pappin taking over. Coach Murray and Coach Pappin will continue this year bringing enthusiasm and energy towards keeping De Smet Hockey as one of the premier High School programs in the Metro area. Follow the Spartans here and come out and support the teams as they carry on this proud tradition of hockey excellence.
