14U Desert Wolves would like to welcome our newest sponsor, Arcadia Sports.
Steve Mehok brings his Scottsdale Sting team over to the Desert Wolves organization for fall 2009. Team information and tryout details to be posted in late July 2009. Tryouts are expected to be held during the 1st or 2nd week of August. All positions will be considered. For more information, contact Coach Steve Mehok at 602-432-5348.
This team will be in it's second year of competitive play but first year as part of the Wolves organization. We are comprised of mostly 1996 players.

Coach Steve Mehok: Steve’s experience began and includes playing at the University of San Diego as well as coaching boys varsity baseball at North Hollywood High School in CA. He also spent 4 years coaching 13-18 year old boys before moving into the world of Girls Fast pitch. He now has 11 years of fast pitch experience including 2 seasons of competitive ball coaching and managing the Scottsdale Sting 96 team. He was also an asst. coach for the Chaparral JV team. Steve has coached and developed more than 30 players that have progressed to high school softball. His main goal as a coach is to field a well-rounded team that plays smart softball, learns the fundamentals and continues to develop their ability over time.
Alan Anderson has been involved in the sport of softball for his entire adult life. He has been assisting and coaching girls fast pitch softball for the past 8 years. He was the assistant coach for the 96 Sting and now will serve in that role for the Wolves. Alan is a board member of Scottsdale Miss Softball and the coordinator for their instructional level league. He stresses “attitude” as the most important element to success. Doug Johnson: Doug has been coaching youth sports for more than 15 years. He has High school varsity sports coaching experience as well as extensive experience working as little league and high school PTO president. He has coached girls fastpitch softball for 10 years at the recreational, Middle school and competitive level. He brings he focus on team and citizenship development along with his drive to help all of the girls improve their softball skills.
