Welcome to the website of DESERT THUNDER 96!
DESERT THUNDER 96 is a first year 14U Junior Olympic ASA fastpitch softball team from Tucson, Arizona. The majority of our team is comprised of girls who were born in 1996, and there are a few girls who were born in 1997. Our goal is to compete successfully at the National level, and our future goal is to showcase our talented athletes. We believe in maintaining a challenging schedule and pushing our players to attain their maximum potential. The Desert Thunder organization has a history of developing elite softball players and moving them on to the collegiate level. Desert Thunder 96 plans to do the same!

Congratulations to the girls of Desert Thunder 96 for completing its 12U run as the most accomplished 12U team in Tucson for the past year! Throughout 2008-2009, Desert Thunder 96 earned the respect of many with her heart, passion, willingness to challenge every opponent, speed, and talent. The past year saw Desert Thunder 96 compete in tournaments at the 12U and 14U levels and lay claim to four championship trophies, 93 wins, one second place finish, five third place finishes, and two fourth place finishes. We are now readying for 14U where we will continue to grow our talent, maintain a challenging schedule, and push ourselves to be the best we can be!
