This will save several miles. On Hwy 2 heading west, right after Warba, take a right on County Rd 10. Follow 10 all the way to Coleraine. At edge of Coleraine take a left on Roosevelt Street(not on 169, the divided highway) for 1/2 mile. Take left on Morrison Avenue (CR 61). Go one block and follow the street to the right (Cole Avenue). You will go between Van Dyke Elementary on your left and Greenway HS on your right. About three blocks after the schools (after the underpass), take a right (you will still be on Cole Avenue and County Road 61)when you see the back of the arena on your left. (there are alpine, Nordic and ski jump signs starting here) The road into Mt. Itasca is 1/4th mile down 61 on your left. Follow gravel, take left fork. You made it! Its a piece of cake. If this gets you lost, just ask anybody or look for signs to the Ole Mangseth Ski Jump.

Wolverine Nordic Ski Club
Information
The Wolverine Nordic Ski Trails are a cooperative effort between the club and private landowners. All of our trails are located on private property and it is important that our skiing guests help us maintain the good relationship we have with the landowners. Please, don't litter and try not to wander off of the groomed trails.
Our Warming Chalet is generally open from 8:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. You can purchase water, juice, and pop from a machine inside. We also try to have hot beverages and snacks available for a modest fee.
The public is welcome to ski on our trails any time of the day or evening but you must be aware of the fact that we do not "sweep" the trails at night to make sure that everyone is off of them. Cell phones help provide some measure of safety but there are portions of the trails that have dead zones and you cannot get a signal to call for assistance. You should always ski with a partner and this is more crucial after dark.
Snowshoeing is also permitted on portions of our trail system. We even have a couple of trails that are for snowshoes only. These are indicated on our maps but you may want to check with the friendly people at Trek & Trail (906-932-5858) for more details on their locations and difficulty levels.
If you would be interested in holding a race on our trails, we would be happy to help out. Just get in touch with us by calling 906-932-5858 or email us at uptrek@chartermi.net. Feel free to contact us here for any other questions you may may have.
For those of you looking for a map of our trails, click on the image to the right to see a copy of our trail map.
