  Welcome

Heat win Westerns
2005 Western Canadian Champions
The Delta Heat '91 have just finished their fifth year together competing in Bantam (14U) "A" girl's fastpitch division. After a league and tournament schedule that included five stops in the US, including the prestigious Colorado Fireworks tournament in Denver, Colorado, the Heat had another excellent year.

The 2007 season will begin with tryouts at North Delta Park on September 5, 6 and 15th, 2006 (see calendar) and be followed by winter conditioning, pitching and catching clinics and skill building campaign and an aggressive tournament schedule aimed at preparing the Heat '91 for a run at Bantam (14u) Nationals in 2007.

The Delta Heat have a dedicated and skilled coaching staff led by Team BC coach Colleen Moffat, that focus on the team's core values of teamwork, skill development, mental preparation, winning and fun. In addition, the Delta Heat '91 have added assistant coach Jamie McKenzie who has participated w/ SFU, Canadian National Team programs and led Team BC for the past two campaigns. This excellent group of athletes is recognized as one of the most disciplined, organized and hard working teams in BC and the Pacific Northwest.

The Delta Heat organization had an excellent 2006 season at Provincials placing two bronze medallists, one silver medallist and one Provincial champion. In addition, one Delta Heat team went on to compete at the Western Canadian championships and three others went on to compete at Nationals where Delta Heat teams earned two bronze medals. Proudly representing the communities of Ladner, North Delta and Tsawwassen, the Delta Heat organization is committed to providing opportunities for girls to learn and play fastpitch at a competitive level.

Heat 91 keep on going

What defines the quality of a team?  I would argue, given the continued success of the girls as they continue on with their studies, playing and lives that this team was one fantastic bunch.  Thanks to all coaches and parents who contributed and continue to contribute to this great group of girls.
