(Last update 06-18-09) 2009 All Star Games The Girls and Boys All Star games were played Saturday evening at the University of Delaware's Rullo Field. In the Girls game the the Blue All Stars defeated the White team 5-3 in a rain delayed game. In the Boys game, the Blue All Stars won 21-7 over the White team. Post Season Awards For High School post season awards click here. 2009 Mellor Award Goes to Nina Cornog of Concord High School Nina Cornog has been chosen as the recipient of this year’s Mellor award. She is a graduate of Concord HS and plans to go to Wesley College to play lacrosse. Nina was nominated by her coach, Julia Overly. For more, click here.
The 2009 Spilecki Scholarships were awarded to three student/athletes between the Girls and Boys All Star games on Saturday evening at the University of Delaware. The winners are Summer League Information For information about summer leagues click here New additions: Cecil Lacrosse (youth and adult men and women), PA Women's League (high school through post collegiate), Lewes Lacrosse Summer League (Women's grades 9 thru collegiate). Cape Wins Girl's and Sallies Wins Boy's High School Tournament The Cape Henlopen girls lacrosse team defeated St. Andrew's 11-7 in the state championship finals to win the state touranment. In the boys tournament, Salesianum finished a perfect (17-0) season beating Tower Hill 13-4 to win the boys' state championship.
