"We here at The Pond have very strict indoor air quality standards, and actually test the air quality in the lobby, and both rink surfaces 3 times a day. We then record our readings in a log book that Cindy has in her office, in which we report to the City, State, and Federal EPA every year. Both of our Zam’s have been retrofitted to Propane which burns cleaner, and were also equipped with catalytic converters to reduce the emissions even further. Both rinks are equipped with sensors that engage Industrial size fans to ventilate both arenas in case of high CO2 or Ammonia levels. We recently took delivery of a new Olympia edger that meets or exceeds the EPA’s guidelines for Exhaust emissions. Rest assured, you and your children’s safety and health are out #1 concern here at The Pond, and we are in full compliance with all Local, State and Federal guidelines in regards to Indoor Air Quality. This is even more of a reason to come here more often to play hockey, figure skate, public skate, enroll in our camps and clinics, and shop at the Best Pro Shop in the USA; here at The Pond Ice Arena!!!!
