DELCO RAGE SOFTBALL is based out of Havertown, Pa. and is a non-profit fastpitch softball organization dedicated to the training and advancement of young women in fastpitch tournament play.
DELCO RAGE was founded in 2002. It was formed out of a necessity to give young girls a choice and opportunity to play softball at a higher level other than school or other community softball teams.
The DELCO RAGE organization accomplished a milestone in October 2004. Our 14U hosted a NSA WS, Class "A" Qualifying tournament. This event titled “Autumn RAGE ” was a huge success and was a first in Haverford Township as well as being a first in the Delaware county communities for girl’s softball.
In the summer of 2005, the DELCO RAGE 14U team was very impressive at the 2005 NSA World Series in Charlotte, N.C. Where temperatures reached 100 plus degrees. They went 8-2 finishing in 9th place in a 108 team field. Some very impressive wins over some top national programs. The DELCO RAGE finished with a 44-16-1 record going 22-4-1 in their last 27 games. VERY IMPRESSIVE!! The DELCO RAGE coaching staff and organization would like to thank the players and parents for all their hard work and their commitment to excellence.
In the summer of 2009, the DELCO RAGE 12U team came in 13th out of 64 teams at the 2009 NSA World Series in Chatanooga TN. This was a tremendous performance for the 12 young ladies on this team as well as their Coaches.
Under the leadership of an appointed board and excellent reputation of all the board members, coaches, staff and parents, DELCO RAGE 2010-2011 season will be made up of 5 teams, approximately 60 young ladies. These teams include a 12U, two 14U teams, a 16U & an 18U team. These young ladies will spend the fall of 2010 training & competing in tournaments. Our 18U team will compete in College Showcase tournaments. In 2011, spring & summer, all of our teams will be traveling to various tournaments & College Showcase tournaments all along the East coast.
DELCO RAGE Organization has attracted some of the very best softball players in the area. All of these ladies will begin practicing in the fall / winter in preparation for the 2010 -2011 season. They will devote an enormous amount of time and effort to improve their skills and be competitive at all their tournaments.
Through this commitment and hard work these girls will get to know each other as teammates and friends. DELCO RAGE is not just another Softball organization. It fosters an experience for players, parents, siblings, relatives and coaches to have a chance to develop friendships that can last a lifetime.
Our coaching philosophy is to teach young ladies how to play softball at a competitive high-level, while still having fun and building knowledge, pride, self respect and a strong moral character.
We at DELCO RAGE are proud members of the ASA, USSSA, NSA & PONY softball organizations.
