Delaware anglers compete at the Northern Division Open on the Chesapeake...

Fabian Rodriguez of Three Ponds Bassmasters and Dave Perrego of Eastern Shore Bassmasters represented the Delaware B.A.S.S. Federation Nation with just enough fish at the B.A.S.S. Northern Division Open on the Chesapeake Bay this past week to make the top 30 cut and bring home a check.

Fabian jumped out to an early 9th position on Day 1 with 2 fish for 8-10, while Dave managed 2 keepers weighing 6-4, good enough for 16th. As most of the Co-Angler field struggled to weigh any keepers, the two held on to their weights without measurable fish on the 2nd Day. While both made the cut to fish the final day, the Day 3 was filled with short fish again for both Co-Anglers as Fabian dropped to 20th overall, and Dave held steady at 29th.

Other notable Delaware B.A.S.S. Federation Nation anglers include on the pro side: Duane Essick (67), Don Murray (81), Andy Dick (135), and Joe Hunt (148). On the Co-Angler side: Jay Pirollo (52), Ernie Spence (75), and Ron Horton (79).

The 2nd Northern Division Open tournament will be held at Lake Champlain August 20-22 in Plattsburgh, NY. Go to www.bassmaster.com to register.
