2009 DBFN Open Tournament Schedule Announced...

The Delaware B.A.S.S. Federation Nation has announced its 2009 Open Team Tournament Schedule. The season, just around the corner, is set to kick off another great year of fishing. The DBFN's season again, kicks off to a great start with the 2nd Annual Link's Marine Upper Bay Open on the 26th of April. Ted Link, owner of Link's Marine, has once again been gracious enough to honor the DBFN with a generous contribution of $500 to the winners, on top of the 1st place award which again could pay out over $1000.

The DBFN hopes to topple last year's increase of participating anglers, by adding another tournament to the circuit, this on the Potomac River in May. The Potomac has been getting slammed in the early parts of the Spring lately, and you know the fishing will be outstanding! Can we break a circuit record set last year of 27 pounds on the Upper Bay?

As you already know, the DBFN Open Team tournaments are open to anyone interested in fishing. Membership to the federation nation is not required, but many members do participate, and if you are looking to join a B.A.S.S. federated club, or start your own, this is the place to meet the right people.

The tournament rules for 2009 and the application are attached below. 2009 entry fees and lunker will remain the same at $100/team entry and $10/team lunker fee.

The schedule as follows:

4/26/09                         Upper Bay  - Anchor Marine
05/03/09                      Potomac River  - Smallwood
06/20/09                      Nanticoke river - Phillips Landing
07/12/09                      Upper Bay   - Turners Creek
08/02/09                      Pocomoke river - Byrd State Park
