The Little League Mission
Little League Baseball, Incorporated is a non-profit organization whose mission is to "to promote, develop, supervise, and voluntarily assist in all lawful ways, the interest of those who will participate in Little League Baseball and Softball."
Through proper guidance and exemplary leadership, the Little League program assists youth in developing the qualities of citizenship, discipline, teamwork and physical well-being. By espousing the virtues of character, courage and loyalty, the Little League Baseball and Softball program is designed to develop superior citizens rather than superior athletes.
Founded in 1939; granted Federal Charter July 16, 1964, by unanimous act of the Senate and House of Representatives of the Congress of the United States of America and signed by President Lyndon B. Johnson as Public Law 88-378, 88th Congress H.R. 9234, and amended December 26, 1974, Public Law 93-551, 93rd Congress, H.R. 8864. Little League is tax exempt.

Dear Valued Community Member,
It is that time of year to begin planning the 2010 season of Little League Baseball. As one of the cities oldest sanctioned Little Leagues, Deer Park is a non-profit organization that depends fully on our volunteers and the financial support of the community. We use this support to continue programs that help develop character, responsibility, good sportsmanship, teamwork, and values for our area youth.
Deer Park has been a proud sponsor of 2 teams within the Challenger program for the past 11 years. The Challenger program provides the physical and mentally challenged the opportunity to enjoy an athletic environment structured to their abilities and needs. Please, join us in feeling great about helping our challenged youth.
Your contributions are acknowledged in many different ways. The Players Program that is handed out to every participant in Deer Park Little League will have you listed as a supporter of Deer Park Little League. The ads are available in different levels based upon the amount of contribution.
The displaying of banners placed on the outfield fences are also available, this is a great way for everyone to see your contribution towards the players on a yearly basis. A team sponsorship will show your business on the back of one of our traveling team jerseys. If your company has a web site, we will set up a link off of our sponsor page. You will receive an invitation to our Opening Day Ceremonies, where you will once again be acknowledged for your dedication and support towards Deer Park Little League. Every opportunity will be taken to make everyone aware of your efforts in contributing to the tradition of Little League Baseball in our immediate area and that it will continue.
Since all of our ads must be ready to print in February, please let me know soon, so we can make sure to get everything ready in time for printing. I will establish contact in the near future to check on your involvement towards the 2010 season.
We at Deer Park, our parents, and the children, thank you in advance for your support of our organization. Our goal is to create an enjoyable experience that our youth will remember for a lifetime.
Sincerely,
Pamela Mills,
Fundraising Coordinator
