SUMMER/FALL LEAGUE RULES
Normal Dixie Youth Baseball rules apply except for the following:
1. Players must have registered in the League before the player is allowed on the field.
2. There are no forfeits of games due to lack of players.
3. Players can play for another team if the team does not have the minimum number of players for the game.
4. Each player shall play a minimum of half the game, and shall play a minimum of one inning in the infield. No player can play more than two (2) innings in one infield position.
5. A player can pitch a maximum of two (2) innings per game, and the regular season pitch counts will apply.
6. Players who made All Star teams and pitched for the All Star team cannot pitch in the Summer or Fall League in the same Division or age group for which the player made the All Star team.
7. There will be a six (6) run limit per inning for each team.
8. Time limits for the games:
· AA (Minor B) 1 hour and 30 minutes
· AAA (Minor A) 1 hour and 45 minutes
· O-Zone 1 hour and 45 minutes
9. There will be no protests of games; the Coaches and Umpires will handle any dispute.
10. The AA pitching machine will be set at a maximum of thirty-eight (38) mph as measured at home plate. The back leg of the machine will rest against the front of the pitching rubber, which is set at 46’ from the point of home plate.
11. AA batters shall have the opportunity to hit five (5) pitches; a batter may foul off the fifth pitch until he hits it fair or misses the pitch.
12. Coaches shall decide how many defensive players can be on the field before each game.
PRACTICE LIMITATIONS
1. No practices on Wednesday or Sunday.
2. Practice limited to l hour 30 minutes per outing.
3. Only 3 outings per week. When the Summer or Fall season starts a game is considered an outing.
