On May 17th & 18th, we are going to put
on the 19th Annual Sextathlon.
The Sextathlon is a fun meet that swimmers from all teams look
forward to, especially the younger swimmers. Everyone who swims six
events (thus the name “Sextathlon) is eligible to qualify for trophies.
Trophies are give to the top 12 swimmers in each gender and age
group (8U, 9-10, 11-12, 13-18
In order to run this particular meet (currently our only Invitational of
the year), we need to raise approximately $4000.00. It is possible to
make a nice profit from an invitational meet if we can get most of what
we need donated. This year we are going to make a concerted effort
to entice businesses in our community to support this effort, but we
need your help. (As you will notice, there are a variety of ways a
sponsor may contribute).
Our hope is that each family will bring in one sponsor. If we can
make this a successful fund-raiser, it could eventually eliminate the
need for a bunch of smaller ones.
Any donation you bring in will apply 100% toward your long course fund-raising obligation.
If you have any questions or you need some help with this, please ask one of the DDSC Board Members
whose names and telephone numbers are on the board or in the newsletter. There are instructions on
sponsorship and donations under the Fundraising Link and For Volunteering at the links below.

Good luck and thank you in advance for all your effort. We, as a group, can make this a productive event.
