DIAMOND DEVILS WASHED OUT IN DENVER FIREWORKS

The Diamond Devils continued their tradition of playing the BEST competition in the country.  However, rain hampered the Colorado Fireworks event this weekend.  The event was truncated on Saturday night eliminating the loser's bracket and reducing the tournament to a single elimination format.  The Diamond Devils went down 5-0 in their first bracket game to the tough second year U16 Michigan Athletics who went deep in the single elimination tourney.  Two other Diamond Devil pool opponents, the East Cobb Bullets and the Washington Ladyhawks also went deep in the bracket as well as practice opponents the California Bears and the Oregon Blaze.

We hope to see some of these teams again in a few weeks at the Triple Crown World Series in Park City, Utah as well as ASA Nationals.
