Dale City Little League: Weather and Field Conditions
In the event of Inclement Weather, make sure you check the field status before you head to the field. To get the phone number of the field where you have a game/practice scheduled, click on Weather and Field Conditions and look for the field. If the field is closed there will be no game or practice. Managers will do their best to call, but all parents should get in the habit of checking the field status line.

The Park Authority has set up a hotline to find out whether or not fields will be open due to inclement weather. Here are the numbers for the fields:
The Park Authority updates the field status line at 3:00 pm during the week and 7:00 am and 12:00 pm on the weekends. If there is no additional update from 7:00 am, no update will be made at 12:00. They do not give any further updates. So for example if during the week it rains at 5:00 pm or on a Saturday at 1:00 pm just before a 1:30 pm game, the decision to cancel the game is up to the umpire in those divisions that use umpires, AA - Seniors, in T-Ball and Machine Pitch, it is up to the Managers to walk the field and determine if the field is safe.
