About Little League in Dallas Center and Grimes

Our Little League charter is based on the Dallas Center Grimes Community School district boundaries. In the past each community was governed by separate local boards in Grimes and Dallas Center even though we are part of the same charter. Through the hard work of many dedicated individuals the recommendation to combine boards and players was presented to the Dallas Center and Grimes boards. Both boards voted unanimously to adopt the combined board structure (see chart below). Along with the new board structure it was decided to combine players in the Minors Division and older. Each community will continue to have separate Tee Ball and Pee Wee teams. Teams will practice and play in both communities fields.

Online Registration starts January 1st and runs through March 1st and in person registrations will be held on January 26th at the Dallas Center Elementary building and February 2nd at the Grimes Elementary building. Both sessions will be from 8:00AM to Noon. Team practices starting in late March and games starting in late April and running through July. We are working to organize our league electronically so look for more in the future done through this website. Please continue to look for updates.
