For the First Time in Fangs' History...The Fangs Skate Away with Second Place

In a hard fought game, the Fangs lost 3-2 to the Niagara Coyotes in the Championship game Sunday morning in Strongsville. The Fangs scored first in the opening period when Heather Cohen scored her second goal of the tournament.

The Coyotes would get one by Cindy Bronson in the second.

After adding another on a penalty shot, the Coyotes would grab the game-winning goal with 18 seconds left in the third. The Fangs weren't done.

Forward Tana Frangioni put another past the Coyotes goalie with just 6 seconds left.

As the clock ran out, the Fangs were awarded with second place for the first time in Fangs history.

For the tournament the Fangs went 2-2 with wins against the Strongsville Stingers and Columbus Bandits. The Fangs scored 9 goals over the course of 4 games and allowed the same.

Fangs Place 1st in Lucky Stars Tournament
The Dayton Fangs continued their tradition of going 1-1-1 for tournaments during the Lucky Stars Tournament. However, they made the 1 in the win column a 2 after they beat Premium Blend in the Championship Game to take 1st place in the tournament. This was a great way to end the 2007-2008 season as it was another first for the team. The Fangs practiced and played hard all season long and in the end came out on top.
