Shawn "The Machine" Haffner Throws 3rd Complete Game In A Row

The Astros finished  2009 strong as they defeated the Kettering Royals in the final regular season game by a score of 10-2.  Shawn Haffner took the hill once again for the Astros and once again delivered a brilliant performance.  Giving up only 2 runs, 5 hits, and delivering his third straight complete game.  The 'Stros bats were also alive and well in this final bashing as the Astros threw 10 runs and 17 hits up on the board.

Coach's Note- "Guys, I would like to thank all of the players and also a special thanks to all the parents that came out to support the Dayton Astros in 2009.  We had a new coach paired along with a brand new set of players.   I am very proud of this team and what we accomplished this year.  This is a team name that has been around since the beginning of the league and it's a team that holds a lot of pride. So thank you all for helping the Astros of '09 live up to the name. Now let's go out and win a championship!"
