Congratulation to the Southeast 9-10 and 11-12 All-star teams for making the District 2 final! In well played games both the 9-10 and 11-12 year old teams came up short to move onto the state tournament.
We had great turnouts for the semi-final and final games. The fields were in excellent condition and the concession was well stocked and staffed.
The SouthEast Little League Board would like to thank all the parents for your patience this year as we moved into what we feel will be the best fields in Iowa. We will continue to work on a few items to make the 2010 season a huge success and enjoyable for everyone. We would also like to thank you for allowing our coaches the opportunity to teach the kids the game of baseball and to further their development as baseball players.
The Board would also like to thank all the volunteers throughout the year that have made this season an incredible success. We had many obstacles to overcome this year and with their tiredless work we made it happen.
A special thank you goes to Doug Hegland, VP of Field Maintenence, for his outstanding work on the fields and the countless hours he put into making the fields playable, safe, and an enjoyable ballpark to play and watch the games.
Sharon Lantzky and Amy Rios for making the concession stand, in our inaugural season, a huge success. With their constant help and oversight, we were able to purchase many items used for the ballfields and concession stands, including a new scoreboard, microwave, and John Deere Gator.
We are looking forward to next year. Thank you to all !!!!
