 Welcome to the Home of the Darby Township Eagles

"Off the Corner, Onto the Field", is the motto of the Christopher Arnold Athletic Association. The corner is the place to "hang", a bland place of non-progression. The field is an exciting evolving place of dynamics and achievement. The corner is the place to watch the world go by. The field is the place where the world turns.

Chris Arnold AA was formed by a small group of former students, athletes and teachers from Darby Township. Recognizing the decline of and absence of many social and recreational activities, CAAA members wanted to find a way to bridge this void. These individuals were further motivated by a developing medical situation. One of Darby Township's citizen-athletes had developed a life threatening disease.

Christopher Arnold was star athlete at Darby Township High School, as well as in college. He later reached the professional football level. The news of his illness struck a nerve among his friends within the community. It was in his honor that the Christopher Arnold Athletic Association was named.

Through community support we were able to form intra-community soccer, softball, and little league baseball. However, it is our football program that has proven to be our greatest success. It began with flag football and developed into an independent traveling contact team. In 1998 CAAA entered 3 teams known as the Darby Township Eagles into the Liberty Conference of the the Pop Warner Football Association. By 2000 the Eagles had fielded 5 cheerleading and football teams and had captured 4 conference & 2 league championships.

Today the Chris Arnold Athletic Association and the Eagles are continuing to move around, over and through the obstacles that arise during growth and progress. We will be successful as long as we continue to expand and interact with Darby Township's young citizens and introduce them to new horizons.

Consistency and hard work enabled the 80lb, 100lb, 120lb and 150lb teams to storm thru the league and capture their DIVISION TITLES.

They will prepare for yet another set of accolades as they get ready to face stiff competition in the 2008 BERT BELL PLAYOFFS.

2008 Bert Bell Cheerleading Competition

2008 Bert Bell Championships

DT EAGLES win 3 of 4 games on the road this past weekend. The 150lb team remained undefeated as they grinded out a victory, beating the Drexel Hill Raiders 25-6.

The 80lb, 100, and 120lb teams will welcome the Prospect Park Termites this weekend. Please come out and support our beloved Eagles at home!

The 150lb team will take their show on the road, as they travel to Brandywine, Delaware to take the Brandywine Warriors.

Congratulations, as all four EAGLES squads proved they are a dominating force in league play over the weekend. The 80lb, 100lb and 120lb squads scored knockout wins on the road versus the Drexel Hill Raiders.

The 150lb team continued their quest for a undefeated season as they shutout the Rose Tree Colts 13-0.

Week 7 finds the 80lb, 100lb and 120lb EAGLES tackling the Avon Grove Wildcats on the road. The 150lb team will travel to Drexel Hill to take on the Raiders.

The EAGLES were successful during Week 5 play versus Norchester. The 80lb and 100lb teams were victorious, as the 120 played to a 12-12 tie.

The 150lb squad defeated the Coatesville Kid Raiders 22-6.

In Week 6 action, the 80lb, 100lb and 120lb EAGLES will host the Drexel Hill Raiders and the 150lb squad will host the Rose Tree Colts.

Congratulations to all 4 weight class teams, as they swept the Wildcats at home over the weekend.

The 80lb, 100lb, and 120lb teams travel to Norchester to take on the Red Knights, and the 150lb squad will try and remain undefeated, as they travel to Coatesville to battle the Kid Raiders in Week 5 competition. See you there!

The 120lb team came away with 41-14 victory. The score of 41, was the most points scored of any team in the Bert Bell Memorial conference thus far this season.

The 80lb and 100lb teams both lost, and the 150lb squad did not play over the weekend. 

 The EAGLES host the Greater 69th Street Wildcats this weekend. Please come out to support our teams, as previous matchups with the Wildcats always prove to be entertaining!

In week 2 of the football season, both the 80lb and 100lb teams posted 0-0 ties vs the Rams. The 120lb squad fought hard, but endured their 1st loss of the season and the 150lb team was victorious 21-8 in the last game of the weekend.

Our EAGLES travel to Marple to take on the Marple Jr. Tigers this weekend. Please come out to show your support. The 150lb team have a BYE (not scheduled to play) for Week 3. 

CONGRATULATIONS to all 4 DT Eagles weight class teams, as they soared to shutout victories over the Folsom Falcons.

Please come out to support our Eagles as the host the Clifton Heights Rams at home this weekend, Saturday the 13th and Sunday the 14th of September.
