SPRING BREAK FUN NIGHT OF DRILLS !



For all the players who will remain in town over the Spring Break Period, please have them come out for a fun night of drill sessions.  We will have stations set up for the players to rotate thru the evening.  Have the players bring Shin Guards, Ball and Cleats along with a drink.  This is open to all teams, even those who do not practice regularly on the scheduled drill night.
 
Practice time and ages as follows:
 
Monday March 25th, 5:30pm - 6:30pm 
    U6 and U8 players
 
Tuesday, March 26th,  5:30pm - 6:45pm
    U10, U12 and U15 players

RECREATIONAL SOCCER REGISTRATION IS NOW CLOSED!



We have officially CLOSED SPRING SOCCER REGISTRATION.  We are nearing 300 participants which will make for a fun filled spring league.  Your coaches should be in touch with your soon to begin practices.  Please look for fall registration to begin sometime in August.  Check back here in August for more information on Fall Soccer Registration. Remember to "Respect All, Fear None"


Wednesday, February 20
Important Dates and Information Pertaining to Recreational Soccer

Feb 18th &19th Player evaluations for all players (boys and girls) ages 8 and up, at 6:00pm, Trione Park Soccer Fields.  Player must attend ONE of these assessments.

 

 

Feb 25th Coaches Meeting for U5 through U8 Coaches.  6:30pm at Trione Soccer Fields.  (Anyone planning to coach or assist coach in these   age groups should attend this meeting.)

 

Feb 25th  Late Registration Begins. ($10.00 late fee added to registration fee.)

 

Feb 25th Practices MAY begin.  Practices will take place at Trione Park.

 

March 1  All Players should be notified of which team they are on by their coach prior to this date.

 

April 6 Spring Soccer Season Begins. All games will be played on Saturday mornings. 

 

UNIFORMS: 

All players will be provided a soccer jersey.  Players are responsible for their own shorts, socks, shin guards, and footwear (rubber molded soccer cleats or sneakers).  Coaches will inform parents what color socks and shorts the team will wear.  If you choose to buy cleats, they must be soccer cleats.  They cannot have a toe cleat.

 

Each player needs to have a soccer ball and should bring it to every practice.

Under 5 and Under 6 (4 and 5 year olds) will need a size 3 ball.

Under 7  Under 12 (6-11 year olds) will need a size 4 ball

Under 15 (12 – 14 year olds) will need a size 5 ball

 

TYPE OF PLAY:  Spring season all teams will be coed and the play will be 3v3.

Daphne Strike Soccer Club Oversee's Recreational Soccer for the City of Daphne

Recreational soccer is a program that is primarily devoted to the enjoyment and development of soccer players without the emphasis on travel or high level competition.  The purpose of recreational soccer is to provide an opportunity for the participants to have fun, learn the sport and develop life skills including a lifelong love of the game.

 

As of Spring 2013, the Daphne Strike Soccer Club will oversee the development of players and teams within Daphne Soccer Recreation League.  We will strive to instill a love for the game in our young players and cultivate that passion as each athlete matures.  We will look to build pride in our individuals, our teams, and our club. We will do our best to foster an environment that allows each player to experience the thrill of healthy competition, participation, and the challenge of improvement.  The Daphne Strike Recreation Program takes pride in the growth of club members as athletes, students, and responsible young men and women.  

We will inform you very shortly about when Recreational Soccer Spring sign-ups will begin. Stay tuned!
