Daphne Strike Soccer Club: About Us

Daphne Strike Soccer Club was founded in the fall of 2010.  We began our club with 3 teams and have since expanded to 16 teams in the Fall of 2012.  The club participates in the Coastal Alabama Soccer Association - CASA League. Games are played at Al Trione Sports Complex in Daphne, Alabama with the possibility of games in Mobile or Fairhope, Alabama.  Typically teams practice twice a week and in the past, league games have been played Wednesday evenings or Sunday afternoon.  Our older age groups participate in Alabama Youth Soccer Association (AYSA) which requires them to travel within the state but allows for a much higher level of competition.

We are also very excited to announce that we have added Gerardo "G" Flores as our Director of Coaching.  It is with great excitement that welcome to our club two new Coaches for the 2013 season.  Dean Logan and Kyle Kimbrel join us and bring with them tremendous coaching and playing experience.

Dean is originally from Feeport, Trinidad and Tobao and has an abundance of playing experience at the highest  level as a National Team player in Trinidad.  Since arriving in Mobile in 2003, Coach Dean as had an impressive career with the University of Mobile as well as playing a few seasons in USL PDL.  Having coached at many different levels in our area from the Blast Futbol Club, UMS Wright, Mcgill-Toolen, St. Paul's,  Alabama ODP and Mobile FC , coach Dean is one of the most recognized coaches in our region.

Kyle is a native from Gautier, Mississipi and was a stand out player in his hometown.  His  talent allowed him to play for a high level club team, the ODP state team and end a 4 year career at the University of Mobile where the team fell just short of being named the number one team in the country, at the 2012 National Tournament.

Back for a second season are coach Bart Markel, Cheryl Edgar, Steve Morisani Jr. and goalkeeper coach Kyle Buxton.  All of our coaches bring years of experience to our Club. We look forward to the season ahead and cannot wait to hit the pitch running.

As a final note, as well as a sign of growth, we are excited to host our first annual soccer tournament the "Eastern Shore Premier Cup" which will be held the weekend of February 23rd and 24th, 2013.  This is a great stepping stone for our club as we try to grow soccer awareness on the Eastern Shore of Alabama.

Remember, "Respect All, Fear None!"
