U12 Girls Take First Place
The U12 girls coached by Dean Logan took first place at the Orange Beach Shoot Out Tournament, the weekend of March 16th, 2013. The girls played physical, passed well and came together as a team. This was the first time the U12 girls took first place in a tournament and we hope they will collect many more. Great job ladies!

University of Mobile Soccer Camp
See attached file for information on the Univeristy of Mobile Soccer Camp. The camp will be held June 2- 6 and July 21 - 25. Many of our players attended this camp last year and it was very well received. Coach G, is also listed as one of the coaches that will be teaching at the camp.

Join us for "Soccer Camp" Monday July 8 - Thursday July 11th, 2013.
All players are welcome, regardless of their ability, age or knowledge of the game. The pupose of our camp is to spread the love of the game within our community! Soccer camp is a great place to learn new soccer skills, have some friendly competition, meet new friends and spread the love of the game. Each day has a theme, age appropriate soccer activities and much more!

Spring Club Soccer Try Outs 2013
Club Soccer tryouts have been rescheduled due to inclement weather to Monday January 14th and Tuesday January 15th. The tryout times slots will remain the same as posted on the flyer. Teams should be announced as soon as Wednesday January 16th, 2013.

FUTSAL Indoor Soccer is returning to the Eastern Shore. Come join Coach "G" and experience a FIFA authorized version of indoor soccer, that places a premium on technique. League will be played in Daphne, Alabama and play will begin December 3rd, 2012. Registration closes November 26th.

Strike For A Cure - Breast Cancer Awareness Event

The Daphne Strike Soccer Club friends and families gathered together on Wednesday October 10, 2012 in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness month. Daphne Strike Soccer Club is trying to do it's part in the community by creating awareness and raising money for this very worthy cause. We sold custom designed "Strike For A Cure" t-shirts, headbands and bracelets to raise money and awareness. We are asking our players to wear their pink accessories during the whole month of October, to remind people about the importance of finding a cure. All the profits from our product sales and from our concession stand will be donated to the Mitchell Cancer Center to help fund Breast Cancer research.
Our evenning ended with a friendly game between our Strike Coaches and our U18 Boys team. The game was very competitve and both sides had a great time. I think it's fair to say, that the Coaches Team was probably a little slow getting up the next morning. Spectators saw early signs of aches and pains coming from the coaches bench, right after the game ended. I heard coaches asking one and other for ibuprofen and the likes. The Coaches Team might have won the game but the U18 Boys certainly won the battle! I think there is a re-match in the near future, so please stay tuned.

Mark Your Calendar, Team Soccer Camp August 1 -3rd, 2012
Strike players, keep your eyes and ears peeled for our Team Soccer Camp. It will be held August 1 - 3rd in the evennings. This will be an opportunity for players to practice together as a team, in a soccer camp environment. I guess you can call it our pre-season practice. The website and your coaches will keep you posted on specifics. So mark your calendars and get ready for a great season. You will be able to register for Team Camp on-line very shortly.

Summer Camp, A Great Success
Our Soccer Camp held this past June was a tremendous success. We had about 80 kids registered ranging in age from 7 - 17. Everyone worked on new skills, good sportsmanship, all while having fun. Each day had it's own theme keeping the kids excited to come back and learn. Thank you to all the coaches, volunteers, parents and children who made this a great success. Our coaches made it a great atmosphere in which to learn. Looking forward to seeing everyone out on the fields again soon.

New Goal Keeping Coach - Kyle Buxton
Daphne Strike Soccer Club is very proud to announce a new addition to our coaching staff. Kyle Buxton, a native of Stratford Ontario, Canada was the top goalkeeper at the University of Mobile from 2008-2012. Kyle represented his country with the U15 and U20 national teams and has experience in the Premiere Development League with FC London and the Baton Rouge Capitals. Kyle has also worked as the goalkeeper coach for the girls varsity soccer team at St. Paul’s Episcopal School. We welcome Kyle with great excitment and can't wait to get our Goalkeepers to work!

New Director of Coaching - Gerardo Flores "Coach G"

We are proud to announce Gerardo E. Flores, “Coach G”, will be our new Director of Coaching, effective June 1, 2012. He brings with him a “D” USSF National Soccer Coaching License, 4+ years as Fairhope High School Soccer Coach experience, Blast Soccer Coach 2+ years, and Murphy High School Soccer Coach 1 year. He has many years of experience playing on Club and College teams, has assisted in ODP Administration and Team Trials, and Manages Project Footy.
Coach G will provide a coaching curriculum to all of our coaches along with routinely scheduled skill sessions with each team. He will provide training for the goalkeepers, coordinate try-outs, and organize camps/clinics. Overall, the addition of Coach G will make our club stronger, our teams stronger, our coaches stronger, and in the end, your child a better player!!
This is a very promising move for Daphne Strike. It is a decision we have been working on very diligently and that one that we have not made in haste. We hope that you will all be as excited as we are and will welcome Coach G with open arms as we move forward into the future of Daphne Strike.

CASA CUP RESULTS
Our CASA Cup season has just come to an end and our Strike teams had a strong finish!
U10 Boys won 1st place in their division while the U9, U10 girls, U12 girls and U12 boys all finished 2nd in their divisions. This is great news for our Club as we are improving year after year. Great Season, can't wait to see everyone in August!

Tuesday February 14th, 2012, Gulf Coast News Paper - Ty Turner of Daphne Strike Soccer Club makes a running stab save during a goal-keeping work out with his mom and dad, Stephanie and Greg Turner, Sunday at Trione Park despite some chilly Temperatures. Winter may not be over officially but spring sports athletes can't wait. Many programs get started this week.

Christmas Parade Info.
The Daphne Christmas Parade is Dec, 2nd, 2011. We will have 2 floats. All players are encouraged to ride. Please wear your uniform (either color jersey). You will be responsible for bringing your own throws. You will need to be at the Daphne Civic Center no later than 5:45 pm in order to line up. If you would like for your child to ride, please email me @ tide315@bellsouth.net. We will also need parents to help complete the decorating of the floats at 5:15pm. If you can assist with this, please email me as well.

ALL of our teams have progressed to the CASA Cup!! What an accomplishment! This has been such an exciting season and is ending on an even more exiciting note. We also have several players in contention for the Golden Boot and the Golden Glove Awards. WAY TO GO STRIKE!!!
