Fall Ball Update (08/19/09)

The schedule has been posted to the left under HANDOUTS.  Let's PLAY BALL! and have FUN!!

JUNIOR DIVISION (3 Teams)

Each week one team will play a doubleheader and the other two teams will play one game each.

Managers/Coaches are encouraged to be on the field during play to help direct the players in a more instructional manner.

Rules:

1.            Pitchers will be allowed to pitch a maximum of 2 innings per game with a maximum of 4 innings per day for the team playing a doubleheader and a maximum of 95 pitches per day.

2.            Batting order will be continuous.  All players will bat in order whether playing in the field or not.

3.            Fielders will only be allowed to play a single position for 2 innings per game except for catchers and pitchers.

4.            Catchers will be allowed to play the position for a maximum of 3 innings per game or 6 innings per day if playing a doubleheader.

5.            2:00 time limit.

6.            Games can end in a tie.

7.            Metal cleats are allowed.

8.            Bats will follow Junior League Little League rules.

9.            4 outfielders will be allowed.

MAJOR DIVISION (2 Teams)

Each week there will be approximately 1 hour of fundamental activities and instruction.  After completed, the players will be divided into 2 teams and 10 innings will be played with an intermission between the completion of the 5th inning and the beginning of the 6th inning.

Coaches are encouraged to be on the field during play to help direct the players in a more instructional manner.

Rules:

1.            Pitchers will be allowed to pitch a maximum of 4 innings per day and/or 85 pitches.

2.            Batting order will be continuous.  All players will bat in order whether playing in the field or not.

3.            Fielders will only be allowed to play a single position outside of pitcher or catcher for 2 innings per day.

4.            Catchers will be allowed to play the position for a maximum of 3 innings per day.

5.            Games can end in a tie.

6.            Metal cleats are not allowed.

7.            Bats will follow Major League Little League rules.

8.            4 outfielders will be allowed.

MINOR DIVISION (4 Teams)

Each week all 4 teams will play a doubleheader. 

Coaches are encouraged to be on the field during play to help direct the players in a more instructional manner.

Rules:

1.            Pitchers will be allowed to pitch a maximum of 4 innings per day and/or 75 pitches.

2.            Batting order will be continuous.  All players will bat in order whether playing in the field or not.

3.            Fielders will only be allowed to play a single position outside of pitcher or catcher for 2 innings per game.

4.            Catchers will be allowed to play the position for a maximum of 3 innings per game.

5.            1:45 time limit.

6.            5 runs allowed per half inning with an unlimited last inning of play.

7.            Games can end in a tie.

8.            Metal cleats are not allowed.

9.            Bats will follow Major League Little League rules.

10.         4 outfielders will be allowed.
