Dance FX Mission Statement

FX is a student repertory company for dancers actively seeking a career in professional dance. By combining performance opportunities with more intense rehearsals, auditions, workshops, and conventions, FX trains well-rounded dancers.  Members of FX should find higher meaning in technique classes and dance performance. FX members are the school's ambassadors and role models for younger students

Dance FX Responsibilities

·         Be on time and prepared to ALL classes and rehearsals

***Missed Rehearsals: Although a missed rehearsal may be excused, it may be necessary to block an absent dancer out of a piece in order to make efficient use of scheduled rehearsal times.  Excessive absences may result in being pulled from a performance.***

o    Performances

o    Master classes, workshops, and conventions

o    Field Trips

o    Audition opportunities

o    Community service activities

·         Act as a role model to all other MMPAC students by:

o    Upholding uniform requirements

o    Abiding by all MMPAC policies (as stated in the MMPAC handbook)

·         Be open minded and experimental with movement while being appreciative of each other’s talents and abilities (i.e. dancing outside of your comfort zone)

·         Learn to balance dance with the most important aspects of life: family, academics, and friends.  Recognize that sacrifices will be made.  Minimize conflicts by PLANNNG AHEAD.
