FALL 2008 FALL VOLLEYBALL

REGISTRATION IS NOW CLOSED FOR ALL DIVISIONS!

Schedules for all three divisions are now posted under HANDOUTS!

If you have not heard from your coach yet, please email me at abelfus@aol.com.

If you haven't bought knee pads for your child, please do so asap as many stores run out.  You can get them at Sportswear Plus, Schuykill Valley Sports, Sports Authority, sometimes Kmart and a zillion on-line sites. All kids in Divisions 1 and 2 are required to wear them.  I prefer the kids in Div 3 wear them as well but its not mandatory.  Every child must wear sneakers and shorts...we will supply t-shirts on the first night.  All jewelry must be removed prior to playing...ALL MEANS ALL!  Earrings may be taped.

All games are at Tohickon Middle School in the main gym. There are no separate practices for volleyball.  No food or drink (except water bottles) are allowed in the gym.  All water bottles must remain in the stands with parents. There are also water fountains in the hallway. I do not want to see any water bottles on the gym floor.

All siblings and spectators must remain in the bleachers. If kids run around the hallways, it will jeopardize our program.

Please arrive 5 mins early for each of your scheduled games.  If you can not attend a game, please contact your coach!

WELCOME TO DAA CO-ED VOLLEYBALL!!!

SEPT 2008 - DAA Fall Co-ed Volleyball

Registration is now closed for ALL DIVISIONS. You can still register and be put on our "wait list". There is no charge for that. If a child drops out, you will be notified.  The link is towards the bottom of this page. Our Fall season will start September 8th and end October 29th of 2008.

As always, we will have 3 co-ed divisions. Here's information on each:

Division 1 (5th/6th Grades)

This is a non-competitive, co-ed division with kids who are just starting out in the sport.  This season we will have 8 teams with 10 kids on a team. This division will play Tuesday nights between 6:30 & 8:30. Kids will need sneakers, shorts & knee pads to play.

Division 2 (7th/8th Grades)

This is also a non-competitive, co-ed division although the kids at this level are learning the game so there are more rallies and lots of kids serving overhand. Its definitely a step up from the younger kids.  This season we will have 10 teams with 10 kids on a team. This division will play Wednesday nights between 6:30 & 8:30. Kids will need sneakers, shorts & knee pads to play.

Division 3 (9th thru 12th Grades)

This division will be more competitive with playoffs the last week of the season.  Trophies will be awarded to the winning team. These kids are a mix of high school players, club players, intermediate players and some beginner players. This season we will have 6 teams with 9 kids on each team. This division will play Monday nights from 7:15 until 8:30. Kids will need sneakers, shorts & knee pads to play.

NOVEMBER 2008 - WINTER "SKILLS & DRILLS" CLINICS

Our "skills & drills" clinics will begin in November.  They will be Tuesday nights at Tohickon Middle School.  I will email everyone prior to the start.

 JANUARY 2009 - SPRING CO-ED VOLLEYBALL

Online registration for Spring volleyball will begin in January of 2009. Our Spring program is played outdoors at Bush Park and Fanny Chapman Park. As always we will have 3 co-ed divisions.  More information will be available as we get closer.
