Fall Registration Now Underway

Registration for Fall baseball is now available and will be taken through August 22.

Players in District 4 have the opportunity to register for the Big League program either as individuals who will be placed on teams or as a group of players who want to play on the same team.

The purpose of the Big League program is not only to improve baseball skills, but also for just having fun!

We play under the Big League rules published in the "Little League" rule book.  Our players, managers, and coaches are insured for accidents and liability.  We provide quality umpires for the games.

We schedule double headers on Sunday afternoons and may also play some Saturday games, depending on the number of teams participating.   We will also have the opportunity to travel to north Georgia for some extra games.

The full Calendar of Events for 2008 can be downloaded from the Handouts section, General Information.

Big League Player is a Starter at University of Kentucky
Kurt Boehringer
Kurt Boehring with Homer at Peachtree City Little League's 2007 Opening Ceremony

Hard work + Perseverance = Success

Kurt Boehringer began playing baseball in Pennsylvania at the age of 5.   His family moved to Peachtree City when he was 12 and he began playing baseball for Peachtree City Little League.

Kurt played baseball for McIntosh High School as a freshman.  In his sophomore year, he sustained an ankle injury which ended his high school career.

But he didn’t let that stop him from enjoying the sport he loved.  Kurt continued playing baseball for Peachtree City in the Junior and Senior Leagues.  Then he moved up to the District 4 Big League program.  He played Big League in 2004, 2005 and 2006 and was an integral part of the District 4 All Star teams.  Those Big League All Star teams are what launched his college baseball career.

Kurt entered the University of Kentucky in the fall of 2006 and was soon picked up for the JV Baseball team.  This past season he was a starter on the U of K JV team and played “as needed” for the Varsity team.   “It’s quite an honor to be accepted on the Varsity team as a freshman,” said Boehringer.  “I love the game.”

During Spring Break, Kurt returned home to Peachtree City to visit his family and friends.  He was honored during the Opening Day Ceremony for Peachtree City Little League throwing out the First Pitch and giving an inspirational talk to all ballplayers who aspire to play college ball.

The message:  Don’t give up – Go after your Dream.  Hard work and perseverance can accomplish many things in life.
