2006 Cypress Park Season Divisions |
|
Big League
League Age 17 or 18 (age as at April 30), plus league age 16 year olds selected to the team. One team, merged with players from West Vancouver LL, play games against other teams in LL District 5 on the North Shore. Games are played at Ambleside and Inter-River Park.
Seniors
League Age 15 to 16 (age as at April 30). If sufficient number of teams, Tier 1 (rep.) and Tier 2 teams, playing separate schedules. All District 5 leagues' Seniors/Bigs divison Tier 2 teams play using one common, inter-league schedule; similar for all D5 Tier 1 teams. Games are played at Ambleside and Inter-River Park, with some some games at other, District 6 parks.
Juniors
League Age 13-14 (age as of April 30). Tier 1 (rep.) and Tier 2 teams, playing separate schedules. All District 5 leagues' Juniors divison Tier 2 teams play using one common, inter-league schedule; similar for all D5 Tier 1 teams. Games are played at Ambleside South, Eldon Park and Kirkstone, with some games at other, District 6 parks.
NL Majors
League Age 11-12 (age as of April 30); a few exceptional League Age 10 year olds. Games are played at Rick Genest Baseball Diamond, Anderson Field, Eldon Park, Chris Zuehlhe Park and elsewhere in North Vancouver during the inter-league interlocking schedule.
AL Majors
League Age 10-12 (age as of April 30); plus, a few exceptional League Age 9 year olds. Most games are played at Rick Genest Baseball Diamond.
AL Majors is a development divison for NL Majors div; 11 and 12 year olds play in BOTH Majors divisons. ALL players who are league age 11 and 12 are eligible to try out for the post-season tournament, CPLL Majors All Star team.
Minors
8 to 10 years of age (includes any 10 year olds not selected for AL Majors div.), currently in Grade 3 or Grade 4. Coach-operated manual pitching machines are used.
Farm 8 (Coaches pitch)
7-8 years of age; most players are currently in Grade 2 (some are in Grade 3).
Farm 7 (Coaches pitch)
6-7 years of age, currently in Grade 1.
T-Ball / Blast Ball
For children who will turn 5 or 6 years of age during the current calendar year, and who either are currently enrolled in or will enter kindergarten during the current calendar year.
