CYO Track Club-OregonCYO Track Club-Oregon is a registered USATF club based in Portland Oregon. CYO Track Club-Oregon is a competitive club for young athletes learning to compete in USATF sanctioned events. Our philosophy is to develop the athlete to their potential in an environment that is consistent with the mission of the Catholic Youth Organization. The mission is to provide opportunities for people of any race, nationality or religion to discover and be reassured of their self worth as individuals and as valuable members of society. From this awareness, people will be encouraged to use their talents in service to others in their community.

CYO TRACK CLUB MEMBERSHIP INFO-
2008 Track and Field-The CYO Track Club of Oregon has implemented new of membership guidelines in 2008. As a result of the growing number of athletes at various skill and commitment levels the board has implemented a Gold Squad (Elite/Competitive)for the CYO Track Club. Gold Squad-Must meet Gold Team Qualifying Standards and show commitment to train and compete throughout the entire season a minimum of 4 days per week. This is focused toward athletes ages 12 and above. Training can begin in January. Gold Squad-
The CYO Track Club USATF season runs from late May to August.
If you are a middle school athlete we recommend that you contact CYO Camp Howard to participate in our track and field league for middle schools. The league runs from March through May and puts on 3 meets per weekend for over 1300 middle school participants. You can join a CYO School/Club team in your area to compete. We welcome high school athletes’ participation after their school season is over but we strongly encourage you to contact us as soon as possible. That way you will be included in all of our communications and we can get all of the membership paperwork completed. If you have already registered with USATF, please bring us a copy of the confirmation letter and your birth certificate To join USATF go to www.usatf.org/membership and join online and you receive your number immediately. We are reviewing our 2008 Fee structure for site rental and coaching and administration fees. Our club # is 700. Club name is CYO Track Club-Oregon There is a $25.00 uniform fee per athlete, which includes a singlet and shorts. We have team hooded sweatshirts and warmup suits to order. We are always in need of volunteers to help in various ways… Coaching, involvement with the club operations, and the list goes on. Most of all we ask that you help us encourage and support all of our athletes. Please join us at practice or feel free to contact us for more information.
