November 2010: Congrats to Carley Peterson(Sioux Valley-7th) & Kaylee Granum(Sioux Valley-7th) for earning varsity uniforms at Sioux Valley.
March 5, 2011: Carly Granum(Sioux Valley-5th) placed 2nd in the Region Elks Hoop Shoot in Rapid City making 19 of 25 free throws.
March 7, 2011: Madison Kuehl(West Central-9th) named Most Improved Player at team awards night at West Central. Brooklyn Ketcham(West Central-9th) named Most Positive Player.
March 11, 2011: Anna Keefe(DeSmet-9th) was named to 2nd team All-DVC.
April 7, 2011: Congrats to Emma Johnson(Tri-Valley-8th) qualifying for state track meet in high jump. She jumped 4'11".
April 12, 2011: Congrats to Shelby Reed(Estelline-9th) qualifying for state track meet in shot put....38'6".
May 6, 2011: Congrats to Madison Kuehl(West Central-9th) qualifying for state track meet in 100 M Hurdles....15.8 seconds.
May 28, 2011: State Track Meet Results: Shelby Reed(Estelline-9th) placed 3rd in the shot put, Madison Kuehl(West Central-9th) placed 7th in the 100 hurdles. West Central Girls won the team title.
July 11, 2011: Congrats to Madison Kuehl and Anna Keefe named as Miss Basketball All Americans at the Big Show in Kearney, NE.
July 11, 2011: Cyclone 9th grade team makes 59 threes in 7 games to set a Miss Basketball Big Show Record in Kearney, NE. The previous record was 37. Anna Keefe ties Big Show record with 6 three pointers in one game.
July 15, 2011: Cyclone 7th grade team finishes in 3rd place at the 4 state shootout in Minneapolis. Lost to Rochester by 4 points in our semi-final game which was played on the main court at the Target Center. Great experience for the girls.
Oct 8, 2011: Congrats to Brooklyn Ketcham(West Central-10th) playing in the State Soccer tournament and West Central won the SD State Soccer Championship.
Nov 22, 2011: Congrats to Andrea Benson, Tiffany Bjorklund, Kimberly Reeter, Courtney Vanerzee and Jessica Pepperman (8th graders) earning varsity uniforms at Sioux Valley HS.
March 14, 2012: Anna Keefe(DeSmet-10th) named to 1st team and Shelby Reed(Estelline-10th) named to 2nd team - Dakota Valley Conference.
March 14, 2012: Sammy Kasowski(Tri-Valley-9th) named to third team - Big Sioux Conference.
March 14, 2012: Anna Keefe(DeSmet-10th), Grayson Gruenhagen(DeSmet-10th) and Kaylee Granum(SV-8th) named to Lake Central All Conference team.
March 31, 2012: Kaylee Granum(SV-8th) named to 2nd team Big East Conference. Carley Peterson(SV-8th) named honorable mention.
April 8, 2012: Congrats to the SV 8th grade team that won the SD State 8th grade championship beating Sioux Falls O'Gorman in the championship game.
