RFC to Provide Next Generation Training and Tactical Support

The CYA Phoenix is pleased to introduce RFC into their development program.  Effective immediately, under the direction of Mike Calabretta, Assistant Coach for the Georgetown Women’s Soccer team, RFC will provide professional training and tactical support.  RFC will introduce a very focused, highly developmental structure and regimen to prepare the team for the next level in competitive play and the rigors of the college track placement process.

About RFC

Founded in 2004, the training organization has found huge success in developing players and teams to play at the highest levels of youth soccer.  With over 100 players now playing in the college ranks, RFC ranks as one of the most recruited programs in the Washington DC metropolitan area.
RFC’s mission is to develop the best possible players and people, within a competitive context.  RFC emphasizes development of the total player: on the field, in the classroom and in the community. Players are prepared not only to skillfully play, but to understand the game, to be physically equipped and to be responsible. RFC players are guided so that they might not only play at the next level, but make an impact there. At RFC, the teams play to win, but not by taking tactical shortcuts, overemphasizing one aspect of the game or simply aggregating talent produced elsewhere.  Players are developed through top-level coaching, high-end training and a personal commitment to each player.

Part of this commitment involves providing the players maximum exposure, when the recruiting process starts, before watching eyes of college coaches.  This is the one area that RFC does extremely well.  Last year’s graduating classes (RFC ’89 Boys & Girls teams) saw 33 players placed in top Division I programs.

The Phoenix are pleased to partner with RFC as they look to build upon the success in place today.
