Announcement

CYA Phoenix Enhances Training Program

The CYA Phoenix is pleased to announce that we have enhanced our training program to prepare the team for the next level in competitive play and the rigors of the college track placement process. Effective immediately, Coach Cristian Linte will be working with Mike Calabretta in providing elite professional training and tactical support to the team.

Mike Calabretta is the Assistant Coach for the Georgetown Women’s Soccer team, and coach and trainer with the Reston Football Club (RFC). With RFC, Mike has had great success in developing players and teams to play at the highest levels of youth soccer.

We are pleased to introduce Mike's training into the Phoenix development program as we look to build upon the success in place today.

Please read below for more information or contact Cristian Linte at 703-894-7390 or by email at linte@verizon.net.

Tryouts
We have completed our formal tryout sessions, but will continue to train throughout the Summer. If you are a strong, skilled, committed player and would like to hear more about the team and our program, please contact Cristian Linte at 703-894-7390 or by email at linte@verizon.net.

Welcome!

The Phoenix is a premier U-15 girls travel soccer team sponsored by Chantilly Youth Association Soccer, coached by Cristian Linte, a Romanian Soccer Professional, with professional training and tactical support provided by Mike Calabretta, Assistant Coach for the Georgetown Women’s Soccer team. The Phoenix team is made up of exceptional young players who train and play at a very competitive level. We play in Division 2 of the Washington Area Girls Soccer League (WAGS) which is comprised of advanced teams in the Washington DC area.

We teach possession style of play, concentrating on strong technical and tactical skills development. We also supplement our program with speed and agility training from Hakim Alston's Triple Impact Program to enhance our players' athletic performance and minimize soccer related injuries.

"Success in competition often is viewed as winning, but it can also be evaluated in terms of enjoyment, self-improvement, satisfaction, or self-confidence that players derive from the experience. Thus, while winning certainly is more exhilarating than losing, the players (as well as the coach) may find other rewards in competition."
