Central Virginia Youth Roller Hockey League: My Site News: ATTENTION NEW PLAYERS! (1st time players please read!)

Welcome to the Central Virginia Youth Roller Hockey League (CVYRHL)!  Here is some information that will hopefully help you get started with us.

If you haven't registered yet, you can register using this website OR you can register at the rink (Skateland of Ashland).  You can make payment at the rink, mail it, or bring it with you to the new player clinic.

The new player clinic for the FALL 2009 season will be posted on this website once it has been schedule.  During this clinic, we will instruct the players on how the league works and they will get to practice.  We will also talk with the parents and explain to them how our league works.  For this evaluation, you will need your equipment.  If you don't have it all by that date, they must at least have a helmet and stick for this.

The fall season will start in late September.  We pick the teams, post them, and get started within a week so things get moving fast once the registration period is over.

Equipment List:

Required:
- Skates
- Shin pads
- Elbow pads
- Gloves
- Helmet
- Mouth Guard
- Stick

Optional:
- Girdle (protects butt if you fall - most don't wear them but some do)
- Padded shirt (we don't use shoulder pads but some do by a padded shirt)
- Hockey pants (most do wear inline hockey pants - they don't rip as easy)
