OPEN REGISTRATION ASSISTANCE DAY:
On April___ a registration assistance day will be held at Downtown Athletic Store in Charlottesville on ____________ from 11-1:00 for those that may not have internet access and have not recieved help from a Head Coach, Director or Member prior to that date. Each Association may hold an assistance day registration in threr area.

When you register is important! By rule teams only have to have 26 players,(maximum number of 30 players per team) No team will be asked to carry more than 30 players on a team per Central Virginia Pop Warner guidelines. More than 26 players per team effects the quality of instruction from our coaching staffs and takes away from game experience for every player. Any team requesting to carry more than 30 players on a team must recieve unanimouse approval from the CV Pop Warner Board of Directors. The CV Pop Warner would not aprove any number that exceeded the National Pop Warner Rule Book guidelines.

If you are a returning player and do not register and rosters fill up with new players before you register you will loose your spot on the team.

$170 for football prior to June 1st, on June 1st the fee increses to $185
$120 for cheer.
Two or more participants per family discount is offered on-line

The ClubReg on-line registration system will collect the information previously submitted on the Central Virginia Pop Warner MEMBERSHIP APPLICATION. A deposit of $__ per participant is required to hold any spot on any football team or cheer squad. The remaining balance is due on or before the end of _____. If you choose to pay by check please pay promptly so we can secure our insurance early and take care of all purchses needed early. The earlier we order the better price we get.

•Copy of Player’s 2010-2011 YEAR END REPORT CARD Make sure you know your teams policy for getting these in to the league. No report Card no spot on the team.

Please complete your portion of the two page form before arriving at your doctor’s office.        Physical must be signed and dated by physician in 2011

•2011 PARTICIPANT CONTRACT AND PARENTAL CONSENT FORM No consent form no spot on the team.
*Proof of Age. A Copy of the participants Birth Certificate. In the event your child's team participates in any Regional play in November the original Birth Certificate will be required. No proof of age no spot on a team.

PRACTICE BEGINS:
Be ready for practice Sunday, August 1, 2011!
Each player must have 10 hours of conditioning practice before any contact and 10 hours in pads before any games or scrimmages are allowed. Coaches can have 10 hours of practice a week until Labor Day. Practices can only be 2 and a half hours long. Practices after Labor Day each team can only practice 6 hours a week with practices not exceeding two hours in length.

Anyone willing to Volunteer must complete a Pop Warner Little Scholars Inc Volunteer Application prior to any contact or assistance with the team. The form allows CV Pop Warner to complete a required background check of every volunteer.

PLEASE NOTE: AGE & WEIGHTS
You must fit into the weight class for your Division we will certify all weights(check the age and weight matrix form found on this page) A League Official will see your child on our official Pop Warner scales to be certified.


Our Cheer squads will not exceed 12 participants per squad in 2011.

Age and Wight Matrix

The forms available below provide our membership important information. The Player/Parent Consent Form and the Physical Form are available below but we would prefer that the pre-populated form from the registration site be used for your child. We ask that every member acknowledge they have read the helmet & equipment disclosure, every participant should know his/her teams safety and emergency plan and if you familiarize yourself with these forms you will find a need for some of them at some point during the season. We encourage every parent and player to hand in or mail in a Coach Evaluation form.One form completed by the Parent and one form by the participant. There is a survey for Parents to complete and a survey for players to complete regarding your Coaches performance. We want to know and we want our Coaches to know how they are doing. Please complete these form at some point during the season and turn them in to any CVPW Director.These evaluations could have a bearing on every coach and it may be the only information we get in writing to determine whether or not a coach is invited to return to the league as a coach. 2011 Player Contract Form

The academic scores your child has this year and on this years year end report card are used by Pop Warner to determin and select Scholastic All Americans.

Every student athlete playing in the Pop Warner program is required to turn in their year end report card.

Acedemic eligibility is determined and a list of participants meeting the scholastic All American criteria are notified to complete and submit the reqired paperwork to be eligable for Scholastic All American Honors.
A Mid South Region Scholastic All American team is named and each year those students are honored at a tribute in Winston Salem N.C.the last weekend in March or the first weekend in April
All Regional candidates are entered into the Natioanl All American pool and the
The national First and Second team Scholastic All Americans are announced the April 1st.
Those All Americans are invited to a National Scholastic All American Banquet held in a different location each year. in 2010 the next Scholastic All American banquet the 50th will be held in Philidelphia. We hope to see some of our Central Virginia Students there.

If you are interested in coaching in the CV Pop Warner Football Conference please read the Positive Coach Mental Model Summary attachment - we feel strongly about the content of this model. The selection and invitation to coach in our program again depends on how closely your beliefs and actions follow this model.

THIS IS REQUIRED OF ALL VOLUNTEERS.
If you are interested in coaching you should start by contacting a Head Coach about serving as an assistant.

It would be rare for our Directors to appoint a new Head Coach to our program over an assistant coach that has been on the side lines and worked with the kids and the people in our program for a year or two.
So give those Head Coaches a call if you want and have the ability to coach at this level.

Experience as a player and even a coach at another level does not always make for a good youth football coach. Get out there as an assistant if you want to be a head coach.
