Location: PLAINVILLE HIGH SCHOOL, PLAINVILLE CT
The Central Valley Panthers All-Star organization will be hosting their 7th Annual Cheer & Dance Championship. The event is open to Middle School, Junior HS, and HS, CHEER and DANCE teams as well as College, CHEER and DANCE teams. A non-refundable registration fee is due upon receiving the registration form. There are NO refunds given at any time even due to inclement weather.
Registration: Anything after January 15th 2010, is late registration, with a late fee per each team.
MORNING DIVISION : MS/JRHS TEAMS
AFTERNOON DIVISION: HS, JV and Varsity HS teams, ALL DANCE TEAMS, College, ALL-GIRL, CO-ED CHEER OR DANCE DIVISION
JH/MS Cheer-8th grade and under
JH/MS Dance-8th grade and under. Up to 3 minute routine.
JH/MS Partner Stunt Group- 5 cheerleaders representing the same team, stunt to music for up to one minute.
JV- Junior varsity high school cheerleaders representing one school.
VARSITY NOVICE - HS level, novice team abiding by novice rules.
SMALL VARSITY- all girl team with 15 members or less
LARGE VARSITY-all girl team with 16 or more members
MS/HS DANCE-2:30-3min routine
CO-ED- one or more males
PARTNER STUNT-all girl, any 5 members of the same team stunt for 1 minute to music, and MUST twist from one extended stunt.
CO-ED PARTNER STUNT- one female and one male with a spotter.
COLLEGE ALL-GIRL or CO-ED – all girl or one or more males and currently enrolled in college.
***National Federation rules will be followed for all school teams.
Each school team will have a maximum time of 2 ½ minutes to perform their routine.
Partner Stunt groups will have up to 1 minute.
RULES Varsity Novice (school)Teams: No twisting from extended one-legged stunts. Only toe touch basket tosses are allowed. Only libs, arabesques and heel stretches are allowed in extended one legged stunts. No double twisting allowed. Tumbling up to back handsprings and round off back handsprings. No tucks, layouts, pikes or fulls allowed.
Practice Time: Each team will have 4 minutes of mat time to practice on 3 different mats. Stretch mat, tumble mat, and routine practice mat. Partner stunt practice will be 2 minutes. Times, directions, etc…will be sent out after your registration is received.
Trophies: will be given in each division depending on the number of teams in each division. Partner stunt groups will also receive trophies.
Music: Please bring 2 copies of your music and please label your music by school/program. Only CD format can be used.
Judges: will be qualified and or certified with cheerleading/dance experience. A safety judge will be available. Judges decisions are final. Please ask safety questions about a stunt BEFORE the competition begins. See the safety judge on site.
Registration/Competition Day: Please register at least 30-40 minutes before your practice time. 2 coaches are FREE PER TEAM. Additional COACHES must pay a extra fee at registration booth. Central Valley Panthers is not responsible for lost or stolen belongings. Any team or spectator found destroying any objects at the XL Center will be removed from the competition and that team will be disqualified.
