PARENT MEET AND GREET - WEDNESDAY, MAY 23RD AT THE CLINTON TOWNSHIP MAIN LIBRARY AT 6:30PM - UNIFORM, SWEATSHIRTS, SCHEDULES WILL BE DISTRIBUTED!!
INFORMATION WILL BE SENT TO LAST YEAR'S PLAYERS THE BEGINNING OF FEBRUARY....THIS SEASON WE WILL HAVE TWO DIVISIONS!! THE NATIONAL LEAGUE FOR PLAYERS AGES 5 TO 12 AND THE AMERICAN LEAGUE FOR PLAYERS AGES 13 TO 22....PLAYERS WILL BE PLACED ON TEAMS BASED ON AGE AND ABILITY!

Robbie, a 14 year old player died suddenly in January. He was a sweet boy, with a huge smile and loved to play baseball. Our deepest sympathy to his family!
Challenger Baseball is a Little League program designed for special needs children ages 4 thru 22 if still attending school. Challenger Baseball give mentally and physically impaired children the opportunity to play baseball in a safe and structered environment! The CVLL Challenger program is celebrating its 18th season. We have our own adaptive field located in Clinton Township (16 mile & Harper Rd. area, behind Neil Reid High School) in the Neil Reid Park. Games are played from June thru August. The 6th Annual International Challenger Jamboree - May 6,7,8 in Norfolk Virginia was a huge success!! Two families from our league joined the festivities! The Friday night dance, Saturday game day and special events made it a weekend to remember!!!

On Tuesday, June 1st, students from Neil Reid High School volunteered their services at the Challenger Field. They planted flowers, weeded, did some clean up work and put down some fresh mulch. Thank you Mary (teacher) and students for giving your time to the Challenger program "spring clean up" day! Check out some pictures in the "album" section!

AN EXPERIENCE OF A LIFTIME ATTENDING THE 2009 LITTLE LEAGUE WORLD SERIES IN WILLIAMSPORT!! THEY CERTAINLY ROLLED OUT THE RED CARPET FOR ME AND THE OTHER LITTLE LEAGUE AWARD WINNERS.

On August 8th, Adam Romanko proudly finished his Eagle Scout project at Challenger Field!!! We are so pleased and so proud of his accomplishments. The circle entrance area now has a beautiful tree, shrubs and perinnials! Adam also made a very generous donation and purchased an engraved brick paver. Thank you Adam for your many hours of preparation and executing an awesome day (a little drier would have helped), but you perservered and reached your goal....and for that we are very grateful! Also, thanks to the many volunteers and Clinton Township for supporting this project.

(Former)Detroit Tiger Sean Casey and his family name the new field! It will be called the "Norm Hott Field" in memory of their gr andfather who was a huge baseball fan.
On Wednesday, August 22, 2007 a ground breaking and dedication ceremony was held at Neil Reid Park in Clinton Township to official kick off the building of the Norm Hott Field, Home of Challenger Baseball.
(Former)Detroit Tiger Sean Casey, wife Mandi and their children attended the ceremony, along with Jordan Field, Manager of the Detroit Tiger Foundation. Mr. Bob Cannon, Supervisor of Clinton Township, Sean, Mandi and Marilyn broke ground at the future home plate of the new Challenger field. It was an exciting day with many supporters in attendance.
Thank you to Bob Cannon, Supervisor and its Trustees for their continued support of the Challenger Field Project. Also for all the "hands on" work of the Engineering Department and Public Works Department!
