CVI Awards Academic Scholarship

Castro Valley Independent Baseball League awarded its 2007 Academic Scholarship to Josh Harrison.

Since 2001, CVI has been giving a academic scholarship to a deserving player in the league that meets the grade point average, a recommendation from his teachers, essay criteria and is continuing his education after high school..  Josh was awarded a $1,500 scholarship and plans to put it toward his college education at Las Positas College.

Josh is a fantastic young man and he always demonstrated a positive attitude.  “He is good example of the student athlete we all hope to have in our players”, said Robert Cardenas, CVI President.

“I plan on studying at Las Positas for a couple of years and then transfer to a 4 year university to get my degree in Mechanical Engineering” said Josh..
