The Academy Sabres U11 Boys Soccer Team is in its third season of travel soccer. We added some new players and a new Assistant Coach, Matt "Animal" Matecki. Matt has been great with the kids. His knowledge of the game of soccer has been a big asset to the team.
The Sabres start Indoor Soccer season on Jan. 11. This year we play Friday's, Saturday's and Sunday's. Last year we advanced to the Championship Game. It was a blast for the kids. They never knew how much fun the indoor soccer could be! We have a full squad this year with 16 boys. The team is looking forward to the start of play!
In December we finished our Outdoor League with the PDR, posting a 4-4-0 record. The Sabres advanced to the first round of the playoffs before being eliminated by the undefeated Palumbo. It was our second trip to the playoffs in two years. The boys have come a long way since their winless, first season. I sure am proud of each and everyone of them.
Thanks parents for supporting your kids in our soccer program. We hope that we are teaching them the right things about soccer and how sports can relate to things they will deal with in everyday life. These boys are a good bunch!
Warm regards,
Coach Jack
