we made it
It is currently 5:25pm on easter sunday the players and coaches have checked in and gotten settled in their rooms. We are looking to do our first team bonding experience, besides the trip down, we left at 8pm on saturday got here on sunday at 4:00pm. We left with great excitement as parents and friends gave us a good send off. Before we left we wished Senior Outfielder Robbie Whitmer a happy 18th birthday. So as we set off, it was some of the players first time leaving home getting away from parents and relatives. It also allowed some of the players to see another state besides Virginia for the first time, it is all the experience of a lifetime, or for 20 hours on a bus. After realizing that some of the players have never seen an actual palm tree before started the experience, the dirt is not red clay as virginia but of black and grey. On the way up here some things were put into percpective as the players and coaches witnessed 2 car accidents, both were right off the road and right after they happened, one truck was flipped over on the roof and another had done a couple of flips and was sitting on a crinkled frame, makes life real as we hoped everyone was okay.
But, we did make it, no mishaps other than some teenage boys passing gas and a couple jokes they will talk about for years to come. We got to our hotel enthusiastically getting off the bus, taking showers and watching some of the march madness on the tube as Georgetown just lost to Davidson. We are about to go out to eat and look forward to a comfortable bed tonight not a bumpy bus ride. We will have practice tomorrow and are possibly going to head to the riverwalk, which is alot like the inner harbor in baltimore from what we hear. Then we will go witness a homerun derby which two of our brotheren will participate in and begin to prepare our minds for Piper high and Wesminster Christian Academy.

day 1 monday
To let everyone know all games and events will be held at the westminster christian academy complex, attendance is $8 per day.
Today we had practice we hit in the cage for an hour then took a round of infield/outfield and conditioned. After a day of traveling around and seeing various sites we got to the field the temperature was low 70's and cloudy. We then went to the store a plce called Publix, kind of like a food lion. The guys came in to the store and got a bunch of drinks and food for the rooms. Then we headed to an event, we had great support, it was a homerun and our very own Hunter Kenney participated, with a stiff wind blowing in from right field he would have had to hit a mamoth shot, which Hunter got a hold of a couple that on a good day would have gone a good ways but tonight they were all held up. A player from Piper High in Florida won it, we also play piper high tomorrow night at 7:30. We plan to go to the riverwalk tomorrow during the day.Or we will meet in the morning and talk about going to a spring training game with the orioles and marlins. Now its time to go to the pool so see you later.
Yes this is a palm tree by the field we play at, yes parents don't be suprised if the players come home with a their new fasination called a coconut!!!!
