Brent Patterson enters his 1st season as the Bearcat Head Coach after spending the last 10 years as an assistant for the Bearcats with a continuing commitment to excellence.

Patterson, a 1993 CHS graduate, came to the Cullman High School coaching staff after serving for two years as a coach of the American Legion Post 4 team in Cullman while he was attending Athens State College. He helped lead the 1996 15 and 16 year old team to a 34-11 record and a second place finish in the State tournament in Huntsville.

Graduating from Athens State in 1998 with a Social Science degree, Patterson teaches both Democracy and Psychology at the high school and proudly serves as the sponsor for the Fellowship of Christian Athletes.

Coach Patterson and his wife, Kristy, also a Cullman graduate, have been married for 7 years. They have a son,  Brady who is 5 and a daughter Reese who will be 2 in April.

Coach Shannon Fondren will be starting his 1st year as a Bearcat assistant coach. Coach Fondren will be working with the pitchers and catchers.

Coach Fondren spent the last 5 seasons as the Head Baseball Coach at Curry high School and has also served as an assistant coach at Parrish, Deshler, and Minor since starting his coaching career.

After graduating from Curry High School in 1992, Coach Fondren played 2 seasons at Northwest Shoals Community College. He was a part of 2 division championships and a total of 81 wins in his 2 seasons at NWS and the team finished state runner-up in 1994. He graduated from UAB in 1996 with a degree in Learning Disabilities. In 2000 he earned a Master's Degree in Mild Learning Handicaps from Alabama A&M. He currently teaches the Gifted Class at East and West Elementary.

Coach Fondren and his wife Kayse have 2 boys, Noah who is 10, and Niklas who is 7.

Coach Romine enters his 8th year as an assistant coach for the Bearcats. From 2002-2005 Coach Romine was the head coach of the 9th grade team, while also assisting with the outfielders for all 3 teams. Coach Romine now works with the Varsity outfielders and this year will take over as the JV Head Coach.

Coach Ty Campbell enters his 5th season as an assistant coach for the Bearcats baseball program. Coach Campbell will take over as the Head Coach of the Bearcat freshman team this year.

After graduating from Cullman High School in 1995 he attended Bethel College in McKenzie, TN on a football and baseball scholarship where he was a four year starter in both sports. After college he played for the 2001 Birmingham Steeldogs of the Arena Football League.

Coach Campbell served as an assistant football coach at Bethel College for two years and assistant football and head JV Baseball coach at Mcadory High School for two years before joining the Bearcats staff.
