Cub Pack 597 would like to welcome Pastor Steven Simpson as the new pastor at St. Paul's United Church of Christ in Amityville. We look forward to working with you in the upcoming months.

Interested in helping the Pack

Thanks to the wonderful interest of many parents, Pack 597's Leadership Committee participation is doing really good.  This has a direct impact on the Scout's enjoyment and the number of activities in which the Pack can participate.  Still, we are interested in finding additional people that can help occasionally at an event here or there.  If you can provide this type of assistance, please see a leader or the Cub Master.  Likewise, you can sign-up in the church basement during one of our Den Meetings.

We will use the sign-up list(s) as a short list to contact people for situations that could use some extra one-off help.  Examples of this include items like:



  • Food Drive to benefit St. Paul's U.C.C. Food Pantry

  • Corbi pizza kit sorting and hand-outs

  • Pinewood Derby

  • Blue and Gold Banquet

  • Event coordinators

  • Klondike Derby cooking or station support


Please consider helping the Pack. Not only do you get the added satisfaction of a job well done, but you also get to share in your son's Scouting experience.
